Darkfire, clumsy though he was, managed to get to the big branches, then called to Goldenwhisker, "You'll have to take over from here! Luckily, the honey's not gonna have to drop too far to get to me!"

Goldenwhisker nodded, swiftly jumping from branch to branch. She spotted the honey, and looked inside. As soon as she heard the bees buzzing, she jerked backwards. The bees followed after her, and she hit the ground, going limp.

"Goldenwhisker!" Darkfire cried, alarmed. He jumped down, grabbed her scruff, and dragged her to a nearby pool of water. "Aih cahnd dwahg youh ahll tuh wahy! Wuh tuh duh wahtah!" Darkfire said through a mouthful of fur.

Goldenwhisker shuddered, her eyelids fluttering open. She coughed, and nodded in understanding. Rolling off of him, she made her way to the water a dunked herself in.

Darkfire did the same himself, and the bees didn't follow. Eventually, they lost interest all together. "I think it's safe. Stars, we're soaking!"

Goldenwhisker nodded. She pulled herself out of the water, checking to see that her mate was right behind her. She shook out her pelt, water flying everywhere. Y-you saved me. She choked, spitting out water. She truely did have the BEST mate in ShadowClan. In ALL the clans.

Darkfire grunted as he dragged himself out of the water. "Not really. A bee sting might hurt, but I don't think it would kill you. Did you get stung anywhere? Luckily, I got to the water fast enough that I didn't."
