It had been a while since Ashcloud had gone to this border, not counting when he trained Wildpaw, but given what happened when he trained Wildpaw he was a little worried. To add to that he was going to have to babysit a warrior, or who needs to prove themselves again. "Now everyone, try to stick close together and not get too close to the border lines. There is plenty of space around here before we get near it and we are still in the Thunderglade." Ashcloud warned while trying not to look at anyone in the eye, so instead he looked in between the two. He was skeptical that nonsense wouldn't occur but he prayed that it didn't get himself hurt as a result of it.
One thing Ashcloud hated more than cats was bees. It had been also a long time since he had collected honey and he was trying to recall if he was sent here as well to get honey. "Do you know how to gather honey Wildpaw?" Ashcloud asked before looking at Flowerpaw. "Flowerpaw you can go get sticks." He huffed out before looking back to the cat he was very concerned about. There was no way this kid knew how to do it at all so he started to walk off.
"Come I will show you how." Ashcloud said looking back at Wildpaw without waiting for the kid to say if he knew how or not.

Wildpaw gave a slight laugh as Flowerpaw responded but turned his attention towards his mentor as they finally set off out into the territory towards the glade. It was still stupid that it was called the Thunder glade. As though the border belonged more to them than it did to Windclan when actually the opposite was true! It was stupid. Though before he could get anymore huffy over things like border names, his mentor speaking caught his attention. Well then, looks like Flowerpaw gets too bored on top of everything else! He grinned and followed after his mentor, "I vote that we just bring the whole hive down and then bring in the whole thing!"
That was such a great plan! Besides they could totally outrun some boring old bees, they were just that! Bees. Itty bitty insect thingys that could what? Sting? Cool bro, well Wildpaw can claw and bite and stomp and tackle! So he beats the bees four fold and then some! They had nothing on him. "What's so scary about bees anyways? Can't you just squash them and call it- oh wait what if we just drop the hive into like a pond of water and then let all the bees drown and then we can bring home all the honey then!" The apprentice spoke as the idea came to him, remembering the time he watched a honey bee flounder pathetically in a puddle of water until it stopped while he was a kit.

Vinepaw and Stonetail made their way to Thunder Glade, the air growing cooler as the sun began to set. The glade was alive with the soft rustling of leaves and the distant calls of evening birds.
The bushes were heavy with ripe berries, their colors vivid against the darkening sky. Vinepaw’s eyes brightened at the sight. “Look at all these berries!” he said, his excitement evident. “Let’s pick some.”
Stonetail nodded, starting to pluck the berries from the bushes with practiced ease. “We’ll need to be careful to choose the ripest ones. Some will be for eating fresh, and others can be useful for the medicine den.”
Vinepaw followed Stonetail’s lead, selecting berries and placing them into a small pile on the ground. He enjoyed the simple task, feeling a sense of satisfaction with each handful of fruit.
As they worked, Stonetail shared stories of past experiences, his voice steady and calm. Vinepaw listened with interest, occasionally pausing to taste a particularly juicy berry.
When they had collected a good amount, they stood up, surveying their work. The berries were a rich mix of colors, and the glade was now bathed in the soft glow of twilight.
“This was a good haul,” Vinepaw said with a smile. “Thanks for coming with me, Stonetail. It’s been a nice evening.”
Stonetail nodded in agreement. “It has been. It’s always good to enjoy the quiet moments and get out of camp for a while.”
With their arms full of berries, they headed back to camp, their conversation mingling with the gentle sounds of the evening. The day had been filled with simple joys, and Vinepaw felt a deep sense of contentment as they walked side by side.

Ashcloud
“Ugh.”
"First bees are really hard to catch when they are swarming you, and second we would have to hope to find a pond and a beehive close to each other. If the second is an option sure but I doubt it will be. I also would like you to never figure out why its hard to fight bees as it is an awful experience." Ashcloud said as He started on the search for honey. He didn't want to give any praise out easily since he was a bit of a grouch.
Searching around in the heat did make the warrior thirsty so he padded over to a nearby pond to take a quick drink. Then a bee landed by him for a sip too... The warrior then looked up and saw it there. A tree with a hive in it. Damn it. "Alright, I'm going to climb up, you two snag the hive after it falls in." Ashcloud grumbled angered that he was going to get stung.
The Bengal led the patrol out to the Thunderglade as instructed. Her strides were a little larger than the average cat, but she tried to keep her normally quick pace slower. It wasn't fair if she just zipped here.
They're watching. I know!
The entity on her back sank its negativity deeper into her pelt, but she shrugged it off the best she could as she continued along the border. As she moved, she rubbed up on the brush and trees to mark them. Just a good habit to have when they were out. There was a faint buzzing noise that Treetiger was picking up on but wouldn't pursue quite yet. They had some hunting to do after all! However, she was easily distracted and before she could send her patrolmates on their ways to hunt, something else had caught her eye. Something she hadn't seen before and was quite intrigued by.
"Hey uh, what's that?" The young warrior spoke, pointing to an oddly shaped wax and leafy object hanging from a tree. It sat on a branch, fairly low to the ground and currently no noise aside from a light buzzing could be heard from it. It wasn't even a loud buzzing noise, that was coming from another location. Treetiger didn't understand what she was looking at, but got lucky so far since the insects that typically lived in it were moving locations. That didn't mean there still weren't any in there, though.
Treetiger would draw closer to the object, her pupils dilating a little and her nose twitching with curiosity at the scent coming from it. She didn't wait for her clanmates to respond, but perhaps she should have?

COPPERPAW
The apprentice nodded eagerly at the Hornet’s question. “I’m ready,” he affirmed, a determined glint in his blue eyes. Although battle training was his priority, hunting was important to contribute successfully to his clan, and so he intended to learn it as quickly and efficiently as possible. He turned his head as who he assumed to be Treetiger approached. She seemed shaken by something. Or maybe that was her usual demeanor. He didn’t really care, as long as they could get going soon.
———
Copperpaw followed along, trailing a little behind to take in the view. The last time he’d been in the territory was also the first time and he hadn’t had the time to explore. Plus, he was pretty sure they’d been coming from a different direction. He couldn’t really tell though, all the trees looked the same and he’d been so tired from the journey.
“Nightgaze, how do I tell which direction I’m facing? Like, how do I keep track of where the important places are?” he inquired softly, quickening his pace to walk alongside her. He figured it was a good question to start off with. Couldn’t get lost every time he left camp! That was a sure fire way to get into trouble. Or worse, to spotlight him as an outsider. No no, he couldn’t have that. And perhaps the question would spark a bigger conversation about the territory as a whole.
Treetiger had stopped. He slowed as well, following her gaze towards the tree looming above them. He perked up his ears, straining to hear the buzzing sound. “Bees,” he answered. “It’s like their den,” he explained, “We had one in-“ Copperpaw but his tongue, cutting himself off. Stars, why was he bringing up his home in the outskirts? Former home, that is. He cast his eyes downward, mumbling, “Just don’t touch it…”
[Sorry! Busy moving! Short and barely edited post!]
Dogchase
~*~
The brown tom followed behind his clanmates, bringing up the rear. Treetiger seemed nervous, but he didn't feel it was his place to press. His ears twitched as he heard Treetiger ask a question. She seemed to be leaning into a tree, but he was too far away to tell for sure. A beehive? and Copperpaw looked pretty upset by it. It wasn't hard for Dogchase to imagine why. He paced forward to stand in-between the apprentice and the bees. "If it looks dangerous it's best not to touch it." He meowed gruffly. As a warrior Dogchase was pretty sure she should know that by now, but he tried to stuff down his annoyance. "We should probably just keep moving, and report back to camp. There's not much we can do here." He looked towards Copperpaw. There was no way in the forest he was about to try and make this sad-looking apprentice fight bees. They could come back with warriors later, or Dogchase could come to it himself.
Everyone was here and Copperpaw was eager, nice! This would probably be a good patrol! Nightgaze greeted her later gathering patrolmates with the same bright smile she always did, oblivious to Treetiger's discomfort. Ears perked and pace quick, she bounded after her patrol, doing her best not to run past them all and keep a step behind the leader. Not that she wanted to disrespectful she was just high energy!
Scenting the air for any prey scent while they travelled, she kept an eye out for any predators that might be lurking in the area. The owl attack had put her on guard. They had to make sure to always be aware of danger before it striked. Swivelling her head towards Copperpaw as he spoke, she thought about the question for a few seconds before finally answering. "Well, all the key places have a notable feature about them. It might be a small creek, huge rock or a twisted tree or something like that. As for direction, when you travel you should always keep note of the features you pass and follow them back to camp. Don't worry, though, when I give you your territory tour you'll become more used to it!" Familiarising yourself with your home was the best way to ensure you didn't get lost.
Treetiger's voice broke through her thoughtful daze, and Nightgaze instantly snapped her focus onto the strange object hanging lowly from a branch. Curiously, she peered at this...what was it? She knew...ah, a beehive! The faint buzzing made it obvious. Dogchase and Copperpaw seemed intent on leaving it alone, and the small hornet agreed, partially. "Yeah, we'll just leave it alone for now. But we should report it, mabye it'd be useful." She mumured, observing the hive for a few moments. The meds could use it, possibly.
Turning around again, she faced Copperpaw. There was hunting they needed to do! "Right, Cop, whatdya know 'bout hunting?" And so the apprentice had been bestowed the mandatory nickname by Nightgaze. Oh, but she did need to get a feel of his knowledge so they could improve on it. Very important that part. If he knew nothing then that was fine as well! She was here to teach him afterall!
Bluestrike nosed his way through a couple of bushes, stopping at the border. He turned to Bouncepaw. This is the border we share with Thunderclan. He mewed, talking steadily.
