GoldenKit head whipped around to look at Beetlepaw “Of course I want to be a warrior! I’ll be the best warrior there is.” He paused for a moment. His tail wrapped tightly around his legs. The pause made him feel slightly awkward he might have been to confident.
“I’ll make my father proud!” I’m only 5moons I still have time… Right? The lingering feeling of jealousy still ate away at his heart.

GoldenKit smiled at Beetlepaw. Then he turned his attention back forwards SlugKit. Shuffling his paws he moved into a more comfortable position. His tail still curled tightly around his legs.
She’ll do great! We’ll still hang out all the time when she becomes an apprentice. It’ll be like nothing has changed. he nodded to himself and smiled at SlugKit

Woah.. thats a lot of new apprentices. Seventeen of them- were there even enough creditable warriors to assign them to? Many cats already had one, or even two, apprentices. On top of that, a pawful of them looked too young to become apprentices. Yeah, Bumblestar ran an event an' all, but it didn't quite sit right with him. Perhaps he should ask her later on why? Not that he didn't trust his leaders word, of course not, but uh- it seemed a little weird to him that 4 moon old kits were being apprenticed. Nah, better not. Breezepool rather liked his pelt intact, despite its flaws. He did make a mental note on it.

And here was the cat of the hour. As if his thoughts had summoned her, Redhawk made her halting way up to Brindlepaw. He would like to be able to say he greeted her with grace and kindness befitting of his illustrious pedigree. What actually happened was his fur fluffed up and his head snapped around to face the molly, tail wrapping tightly around his paws as he lifted his chin. HE was in the right here. SHE was the one who had done wrong, senior, trusted warrior or not.
If nothing else, he got the chance to use the skills that the Shadowclan rat had imparted to him, however unintentionally. He wasn’t quite as good at giving his voice the appropriately innocent tone, but he had a vague idea of what words he ought to say to make Redhawk REALLY squirm. I don’t know. he began, intending to be airy and disinterested but instead coming off in a more…aggressive way. His hot temper was making itself known, that was for sure. I’m no expert, but I reckon it’s supposed to be the apprentices who’re 9 or 10 moons becoming warriors, not the ones that’re six moons. Hmm, wait. That didn’t quite work. They just sounded like he was questioning Bumblestar, and he certainly didn’t intend that.
Then again he continued, hoping to clarify his disdain, I imagine Morningpaw had a mentor who was quite active. Actually took their apprentice out training. The ‘It’s a shame the same can’t be said for me’ went unsaid. @reiya (Sorry that Brindle’s being a butthead)
Redhawk - ThunderClan Hornet
The cold and abrasiveness that Brindlepaw displayed was nothing short of expected as Redhawk internally scolded herself. She had let herself sink too far into post-Crowpaw anxiety and depression, and in turn her apprentices who were still here and still trying had suffered for it. It was a difficult task to acknowledge that and vow to be better but that's just what the hornet would do - or, at least try to do.
"I... I know," she finally said after a bit of a pause. Heat crept up her spine and into her ears, the burning shame hot enough to singe her fur if it could. "T-There's no excuse f-for not h-having t-t-trained you, and I'm sss-sss-ssorry..." Stars, her stutter was worse. She had once had it so under control, but ever since that meeting...
So Morningpaw was becoming a warrior? Concern flashed briefly in her gaze - that was much too young! Would Bumblestar really make them a warrior this soon?? - but she decided to push the worry away right now and focus on her own apprentice. "P-Perhaps after t-this meeting, w-we can t-t-take a to-our of the t-territory?" ...Would Brindlepaw already have that done? Redhawk couldn't recall, but offered a shy smile in the hopes that it would be something new to learn. "A-And maybe sss-some hunting t-to," she added on for good measure.

Honeypetal was proud to hear their sibling's name, Snakepelt, announced. Now me and Snake both mentor apprentices! I wonder if we could do a group training sometime...
Honeypetal padded up to where he was supposed to be, then sat down, back straight as he paid close attention. It's great that we're getting more apprentices, he thought, flicking his tail in a way that eased the bit of unnecessary anxiety in his stomach.

Strawberryfur noticed Honeypetal sitting not too far away and waved her tail in greeting. Hello! She mouthed the words to Honeypetal instead of speaking, since she didn't want to disrupt the ceremony that was about to take place. She flicked her tail to let Honeypetal know they could sit next to her if they wanted to, but made sure the gesture was casual enough to let Honeypetal know they didn't have to.
Meeting!!! Halfkit waddled up to the stormcrest when her name was called. The two-moon old kitten's two colored eyes gleamed at bumblestar, she was becoming an apprentice!!

Oh, wow. That was a lot of apprentices that were going to be spread about. Was Bumblestar amassing an army or something? Keeping quiet, he eyes all the kits waddling their way to the front of the crowd to gain their new suffix with a small smile, idly wondering if he would (and hoping that he wouldn't) be receiving a new apprentice today. After all, his others had just... Gone missing, never to be seen again. He didn't exactly want to keep up the trend when his heart was still so sore.
