Daffodilpaw tilted her head to the side curiously. She was about to ask about where she was going until the scent of flowers wafted by her nose. She turned and let out a gasp of awe. "Woooooow!" She couldn't help but purr as the sight. Open grasslands with beautiful flowers as far as she could see. If this wasn't proof of StarClan's blessings, she didn't know what was! "It's beautiful here!" Daffodilpaw meowed loudly to her mentor as she jumped and bounded through the flowers gleefully. "Where are we?"

Daffodilpaw was rolling in the flowers joyously, but when she heard her mentor's voice she froze in horror. Oh no... What have I done?! She leapt to her paws and backed away to stand next to her mentor. "I-I'm so sorry!" She crouched down as low as she could. "I meant no disrespect!"

Daffodilpaw flinched at the tone in her mentor's voice, struck by the disbelief in what a horrid transgression she had committed to her fallen clanmates and to StarClan. I have to atone! She had to restrain a whimper of despair, but she knew panic would not make it up. She remained in her bowed position, touching her nose to the grass. "StarClan, my clanmates, please forgive my insensitivity." She murmured.

Daffodilpaw looked up at her mentor, eyes widened with lingering despair. She hadn't wanted her first adventure from the camp to end on such a note, but she had to admit that she no longer felt hungry, or like hunting. "Yes." She nodded solemnly. "Maybe...we should go back for today." She rose to her paws again, taking one last look over the beautiful landscape where her ancestors were laid to rest. It truly is a StarClan blessed place. She longed to curl up with Bouncepaw and her mother again, but she fought the urge to race back for them. Being a warrior meant owning your mistakes and learning from them, and being strong. Not running to kin to sob or for comfort whenever things got difficult.

Daffodilpaw nodded, accepting Elkjump's plan. She was too excited about the prospect of finally learning some hunting techniques to really mind that something like a quick stop to the camp to get food was the last thing standing between her and her training. "Then let's get going!" She declared, taking off back in the direction of camp.
