Heathernose paused at Lionscar’s warning. The scratch on her nose had healed, and she had hoped that with it the problem with Firemane would be gone too. But as she turned to look, she saw that he was right. The tom was padding up to them with a glint in his eyes that Heathernose didn’t like. Maybe he’ll be…calmer? She gave Lionscar a meaningful look, pleading with him to not seek trouble. “What brings you out here this morning?” She was genuinely curious about this one, she didn’t think any of her clanmates came out to this part of the moors this time in the morning other than her, and now Lionscar by extension.

Heathernose narrowed her eyes thoughtfully. While Firemane wasn’t being outwardly aggressive like he was before, he was clearly up to something. She took a step close to Lionscar so their pelts touched. She wasn’t really sure how to respond without antagonizing him. “While I appreciate the thought, I don’t really consider myself a princess.” She meowed at last. “I’m a warrior first and foremost.” She hoped it was a subtle enough warning. While she wanted to avoid a fight if possible, she didn’t want either tom to think she couldn’t defend herself. She was young, not useless.

I need to play this right so we can get out of this peacefully. “We were just about to enjoy some early morning hunting. How about yourself?”

I wanted to see if you wanted to go for a walk but I see by BROTHER already is walking with you. he mewed. Lionscar growled. "I told you I'm not your brother anymore." he looked at Flamemane with rage. You cant change DNA bro he spat back. "When you broke my trust that's when you stoped being my brother." he hissed. @Luna16

Heathernose’s mind froze for a moment. Brother? How did she not realize this cat was Lionscar’s brother. She nudged herself forward this time, hopeful that she could maybe distract them before a fight broke out. Again. “You two are brothers?” She asked curiously, looking between the two toms. She wasn’t even going to bother asking how Flamemane broke Lionscar’s trust, she had a feeling she knew the answer to that one already.

Heathernose wasn’t sure what she was expecting, but it wasn’t that. She looked at Flamemane with renewed distrust and disbelief. She pressed herself against Lionscar, hoping to offer comfort. “Did you really…? Flamemane?” She found it difficult to believe a clanmate could be responsible for such devastating actions.

Heathernose shook her head in disbelief. Now Flamemane was admitting to these crimes? Openly? They’d have to report it to their leader…Twilightstar needed to know such a cat was among them. But more importantly… She looked up at Lionscar and then to Flamemane. Was this something she could handle? Was Lionscar capable of the same rage as Flamemane? She shook herself. No. Lionscar is a good cat and a loyal warrior.

She needed to stand with Lionscar now. That’s what it meant to be partners, to be mates. She had to trust in him. Heathernose stepped forward, trying to position herself between the two toms again. “Flamemane,” she meowed, trying to keep her voice steady, “maybe it’s time for you to go. Lionscar and I were just about to go hunting.”

I will but before i go did Lionscar ever tell you how our parent were kitty pets when I killed them! he spat as he turned and walked away. Lionscar looked at Heathernose. @Luna16
