Sneezepaw extended her front paws, stretching as she began to wake up. The cool sunlight made her feel homesick. She missed the lukewarm dawns at RiverClan's current camp. She felt ... well, robbed. Robbed of her home she'd just become so fond of. Robbed of what she could've done in RiverClan's old territory. She sighed, curled back into a tight ball, and just let herself lay there. What use was getting up anyways? She had Adderstrike, one of her only friends, and well, yeah, that was pretty much it.

She grumbled, turning onto her back as she stretched once more. Sneezepaw yawned and decided she was tired of being upset at the world. It was time to do well ... something at least! She sat up, looking towards the entrance to the den.

Lilyglide padded over to the den, She had yet to train Sneezepaw, and with everything going on she couldn't imagine how the apprentice was feeling. " Good morning, Sneezepaw." She mews towards the apprentice she was recently given. she told herself she would try to be a little gentle on the apprentice, it's a lot to deal with, being taken away from home in such a short time. "Unfortunately with us being away from home, I cannot train you water moves as of right now." she spoke nodding to sneeze " However, land combat is better than no combat." she mews.

She smiled at the apprentice, trying her best to uplift their spirits. "I'm sure we shall get home soon." she mews. As she turns on her light grey paws her gaze looks back "Come with me." she mews, recently with everything going on, she admittedly to herself. She is also on edge. But she will do her best. " How trained are you in combat on land?"

"Good morning,"

She mewed, not as nervous as she thought she'd be. Huh. That was odd. Whatever the reason for her sudden ability to communicate, she was glad it was there. It be hell if she wasn't able to talk to her own mentor. Lilyglide seemed like a responsible and able cat, so who was she to think otherwise? Sneezepaw let out a quiet sigh and stood, flanking Lilyglide as they headed out into the territory. Sneezepaw had to admit, it was a lot less drained outside the camp. Trees sprouted in several places, vegetation thriving under their paws. She got a pang in her gut, telling her it was okay. It was okay to be homesick, it was okay to miss the old RiverClan, it was okay...

"Right"

She mumbled, picking her head up as she didn't realize it was hanging a bit too low. She continued to follow Lilyglide until the trees covered the canopy. She almost let out a gasp, eyes wide. RiverClan's old territory had trees, but not as many as the mountain territory did. It was... almost, well, marvelous! She found herself obsessing over every spiral she saw in a trees trunk. It made Sneezepaw feel, oddly, at ease. She perked her ears, letting out a small laugh.

"Not at all, I've never sparred a cat in my life."

she chuckled "Well I suppose today is your lucky day then/" she chuckled softly "Fighting on land though fewer advantages than we have in the water. Is still very effective if used properly." she spoke "You will come to learn it with time. " she spoke calmly " now then." the bobtail she spoke padding across from her apprentice. "First to take into account. Is the terrain you are on." she spoke "Rocks when dry is easier to fight on however when wet may cause slips." she spoke "This is the forest. It has many advantages. from tall trees to attack from to the brush below." she spoke suddenly realizing she's going off on a long tangent she shook her head " nevermind that."


" Now then, We shall spar, As I am a warrior I will go a little easier on you ." she smiles "I will allow you to attack first. but keep in mind. If this were a battle with rouges and other outsiders. If there is one there always be alert." she spoke giving some advice as she waits for them to make the first move. " I will be studying your movements through this entire spar." Lilyglides light yellow eyes fixate on the apprentice.

Sneezepaw understood that both has there advantages and disadvantages. She nodded along as Lilyglide continued speaking. The slipping sounded reasonable. She'd had her fair share of that over the moons. First it was puddles then it was pebbles, then full grown stones. Most of that was just her lack of attention in earlier moons, seeming to daydream more often then she did now. She wondered if it had to do with her maturing. Maybe it was the case, or a certain someone who didn't make her want to dream, and instead was the replacement. She store idly at the ground for a moment, recollecting her thoughts. She wouldn't get distracted! This was her first real training session with her mentor. Would it hurt for her to be a little more focused?

"I pray to StarClan you will,"

Sneezepaw meant it as a harmless joke, but she sounded a lot more nervous than she actually was. Perhaps it was just her anxiety talking for her. She'd definitely have to work on that. She didn't think she'd be any good, she didn't know any fighting moves.

"I'll try my best. I only have instincts, the swipe or the casual bat,"

She laughed, having fun with her mentor. Sneeze was glad to know she wouldn't have trouble getting along with her. She seemed the motherly type, or at least acted that way towards Sneezepaw, and something about that made her feel a sense of attachment to her. She couldn't exactly explain it, it wasn't the normal everyday feeling.

Without anymore thoughts clouding her mind, Sneezepaw lunged forward, making a bat at the cats ear.

She chuckled at the small joke her apprentice had made. She felt comfortable training this apprentice. She had not since becoming a warrior met a cat she truly cared for. this apprentice reminds her of how she used to be when she was younger. She will never forget her apprentice days. As she awaited the other attack her mind began to wonder. Where were this app's parents? grant most cats nowadays don't have them. She shook the thought away as the apprentice lunged for an attack " I will try my best to teach you useful moves. increase needed." she mews


She moved very quickly on her paws she once the paw came towards her muzzle. the she grabbed the app's paw with her mouth not enough to hurt but enough to pull them. spinning around to make the app lose balance. this was a special move she thought herself. though often not used by the cats around she found this to be incredibly useful when a cat attacks the face.

Sneezepaw was stable in no way, so instead of just being off balance she fell to the ground. She made an oof noise, laying on the ground for a few moments before shaking off the dirt and rising to her paws.

"Hah, I guess I really am not that good,"

She laughed, feeling more humored by her previous endeavor then embarrassed. She was fine, not injured or hurt in any way. She hoped by the end of this, though, she'd be able to execute a few moves. She trusted Lilyglide to teach her moves she would be able to use.

"Well it takes time to remain stable. This move often works on cats either bigger or smaller than you."She spoke holding one of her front paws up as a demonstration "You see when they aim for your face. often most of their weight is placed on one side of their body if you manage to pull it either the opposite way or further. It can either throw them off balance or direct the weight elsewhere." She spoke " To do this move, you have to be able to place your muzzle like this." She opened her mouth and placed her muzzle on her paw near the wrist part or whatever of the front paw. " a personal one not used by most cats." she mews placing her paw on the ground "now then let's talk about the terrain." say you are on a taller part of the battle area, that be on a rock, anything that is above a said cat."


"You can do a multitude of things such as tackling, pouncing on their back, and So on." she spoke her gaze looked at the app to make sure she was paying attention. " you want never to underestimate the opponent if you do so it could be your downfall." She mews with a smile " now I want for you to attempt to tackle me from that rock." she spoke nodding to the rock that was nearby where they chose to train.

"Ah, I see!"

Sneezepaw watched as Lilyglide demonstrated. It was much easier to understand when it wasn't being used against you. Not that it was any simpler, it seemed like a well-thought move. Her interest grew as her mentor continued explaining. Fighting in its self honestly scared her, but learning it was intriguing. Learning was one of her favorite things to do. Even if she didn't like fighting, just too much blood and violence, she would still put it to use one day.

Once hearing the mention of the rock, Sneezepaw hopped onto it, staying somehow steady on its smooth surface. She looked down at Lilyglide, suddenly realizing how far she was off the ground. Pushing that aside, she following her instructions. She kept sizing up the situation, making every bit sure she didn't miss anything. If underestimating some cat was a thing, Sneeze was the type to stray far from it. She often overestimated things heavily.

She jumped down, trying to tackle Lilyglide. She tripped over her own paws, tumbling to a stop right in front of her. She sighed, grumbling as she had to dust herself off again.

"Sorry,"

Sneezepaw mumbled, her head down in embarrassment this time.

lilyglide watched the apprentice as she gazed around, sizing up the situation. She prepared herself to attempt to dodge the attack before watching the apprentice as she tumbled right in front of her. She let out a soft chuckle gently nudging the apprentice. to their paws." Well, you must learn to keep a grip on the rock. in case this is a situation." she mews looking at the embarrassed apprentice. " However I will show you a slight trick. However, if the rock is wet from rain it would not do much without balance" she mews, Hopping onto the rock herself. She plans to do her best to make the apprentice feel less embarrassed.


" When on a rock, you can use the edge of one as a grip." she mews " For instance say you wish to pounce off the rock." She puts both her front paws near the edge. flexing her claws to grip the edge. "Once you are sure you are stable. you can pounce off almost like jumping from a tall hill." she mews as she proceeds to push herself off the rock in a pounce her paws hit up dust in the process as she comes to a stop. " This can be used in battle to tackle from above." she mews.

"Try again. " she mews with a soft smile. " Do not be too embarrassed, when I was an apprentice it took me a while to learn battle as well." she spoke as she stood at the ready for the attack from the apprentice.
