Daffodilpaw froze, her head popping up, ears alert, when she heard her mentor's call. She scanned the moor until she saw him, beaming, and bounded over quickly to catch up. "No fair!" She whined playfully. "Your legs are longer than mine!"

"Oh really?" Daffodilpaw tilted her head at Elkjump teasingly. "I didn't realize StarClan had cats born as cheaters." She gently jabbed Elkjump with a sheathed paw, dreading turning to the border she could now smell. Daffodilpaw almost had to hold her breath when she turned to the border, the almost minty scent the willow trees gave off and something...almost sour was overwhelming. Not even the Dark Forest could be this cruel! A tiny whimper escaped her throat as she covered her nose with her paw to protect her senses, the combination of the smells was enough to almost make her dizzy. "Is that sour smell...ShadowClan?" She meowed in disbelief.

Daffodilpaw nodded, relieved Elkjump had made the suggestion. She had never wanted to burrow her nose into her mother's pelt so badly. "How can they stand that?" She meowed, her voice somewhat muffled by her paw being over her nose. She took several paces back as she rubbed her nose with her paw until she felt she could safely lower it. Phew! She observed the border more fully now. Of the borders they've seen so far, while it was the strongest smelling it wasn't totally terrible to look at. The willow trees are...actually rather pretty. She observed. "Well...this border is nothing is not potent." She meowed, somewhat cross with herself for being so easily overwhelmed by it.

"StarClan's blessings truly smiled upon me!" She purred, then looked to her mentor as she followed him to their next destination. "One more border and then hunting right?!" She asked enthusiastically, bouncing around Elkjump with uncontainable excitement.
