"So no one has shown you the territory yet?" The large warrior glanced down at the apprentice trotting by her side as they exited the camp. It was usually the first lesson a newly apprenticed cat got since you might as well visit the whole territory now when you were finally allowed outside of camp. Then again, with the current situation and what had happened with Riverclan, Hawkcatcher understood if a mentor would prefer to start with something like self-defence training or even a history lesson.
Not like she wasn't used to training apprentices who were not her own. Hawkcatcher herself had grown up jumping from mentor to mentor, each one less worth mentioning than the last so her training had been completed solely by other warriors.

“Nope.” Kestrelpaw shook her head vigorously in response to Hawkcatcher’s question. “But that’s okay, cuz I’m all done with everything else! Kinda! …ish. Mr. Fleck— Sproutfleck has shown me Sunkissed Creek and Firefly Cove before!” She skipped alongside the warrior. “It was for our battle trainings! You’re gonna show me aaaall the territories?!”

She had a slightly more energetic one this time, but it she had dealt with worse so it shouldn’t be a problem, even if Kestrelpaw’s last exclamation made Hawkcatcher tilt her head a bit. ”…We can skip Sunkissed creek and Firefly Cove if you want to save time, but otherwise, yes.” She usually has a set plan for in which order to show each of the landmarks and borders, but she was open to another route if Kestrelpaw proposed one.
She had began leading the apprentice towards Willows rise, and came to a halt once they reached the meadow. “Have you hear of Willows Rise before?”

"Yeah! I mean, no, I've never seen Willow's Rise but yeah, let's skip the ones I seen already! You get it? Cuz I already been." See, that was how logic worked, right? Perking up once they reached the meadow that was supposedly their first destination, the mottled apprentice glanced up at her makeshift stand-in mentor. "Now what?" What was there to do besides look around?

The uncomfortable feeling of having made a mistake had time to rise in Hawkcatcher's chest before the apprentice clarified that she had in fact not been here before. "It's a good place to rest for a bit and it gets a lot of sunlight." She motioned towards the marks in the trunk of the large tree. "Those are in memorial of everyone who we lost in a fire a while back. They were vandalized but have since been restored when this became our burial ground and was renamed almost exactly two years ago. It used to be called the Weeping tree."
Something scurried away from the two Thunderclanners. "There is a lot pf prey here, but many also come here to mourn, pray, or just feel close to their dead loved ones and starclan, so be mindful about that." She sat back, signalling for Kestelpaw to look around before they would move on.

It was nice territory, she supposed. Kestrelpaw wasn't really that interested in... land? She loved hunting, it was her favorite ever! Fighting was... eh, she was sure she'd be the best at it, like everything else... but hmmm, a territory tour? It was just seeing things around ThunderClan. Maybe it had it's uses, she'd admit. Regardless, when she had an apprentice of her own, she was totally teaching them how to hunt first! It was soooo much cooler. Ears perking slightly at Hawkcatcher's words that there was prey to find here, she decided there it was!, the good in the boring. She could relent to learning new things if they furthered her own gain in the end, Kestrelpaw supposed.
"Oookay. I'll remember all that, we can go now." She was kinda itching to be back at camp so she could tell Sproutfleck and Mountaintalon aaaall about this, if only the latter was able to make time for her, that is. Her Papa was really busy, she understood.

She never dwelled too long on one location when giving apprentice tours, so when Kestelpaw was ready to move, they moved on.
"This is Sunkissed Creek." She nodded towards the ripping water. "It floods on occasion but has never posed a threat to the camp, even before we moved. Prey often come here to drink, so it can be a good place for hunting, but predators seek it out too, so be careful. Also a good place to relax for a while since it's very nice when sunny."
While giving Kestelpaw time to sniff around, Hawkcatcher padded over to the waterline. Small shadows danced between the ripples and bubbles, and after a moment to gather her focus, a large paw struck down into the water and a sparkling fish flew up and landed on the bank beside her. Amber eyes studied it for a moment before she got up and flicked the fish back into the water.
"If you want to learn a new hunting skill you could always try that."
That was odd. Kestrelpaw could have sworn Hawkcatcher had said they wouldn’t visit Sunkissrd Creek. It was okay though. Kestrelpaw forgives her makeshift mentor for being old and forgetful, duh. Cuz she has the best manners ever. “I seen this place before, yep.” The apprentice hopped back and forth on her paws. “Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go!!”
[ @Luminous - Hawkcatcher | By the way we can also skip over Haggard Ruins because of the Fisher there (aka I’m having Kes visit that with someone else) ]

She wanted to start with all of the territory landmarks before moving on to the borders, so there was one more location. "This is Cattail Pond." Hawkcatcher had never given a tour of this area before considering that it was so new, but she still led the apprentice around the pond. "This hasn't been a part of our territory for long, but we claimed completely it when Riverclan feld."
Amber eyes peered down in the shallow water, noting the fish and for a moment pondering whether this would be a good place to learn to swim before looking at Kestrelpaw again. "Look around a bit, then we'll move onto the borders --have you seen any of them yet?"
@Rose

"Cattail Pond." Kestrelpaw repeated, hopping along after the older molly. "It's like cat tails? Why is it named that?" Hm. She didn't know. Oh well, maybe Ms. Catcher would explain. Maybe it was just that RiverClan had odd naming ideas. Yeah, they didn't know how to name things good like ThunderClan did, that was probably it.
"No, I havne't been to the borders yet." She answered as the brown bengal decided to move on with their tour.
[ LOL I figured. Anyway don't take Kes seriously she will forget her earlier thoughts in 13.02 seconds. /silly ]
