"Okay, so, some cats go branch to branch." Bloomingblaze explained "But some use their claws t' scoot their way down, which is probably safer."
She thought for a moment.
"Do ya' want me to come up there so I can show ya'?"

So…jumping was harder. But scooting down…StarClan did he not feel like doing that. Then the cat offered to show him? He was about to say no but…remember SpiderPaw. There’s no shame in accepting help. Maybe that was his issue. Other than requesting training he didn’t ask many questions.

His jaw hung open for a moment while he considered. “Uh- yeah. That would be great.” He tried to put some gratefulness in his voice, whether that showed or not he wasn’t sure, but it was better than nothing.

Bloomingblaze nodded, before she began to make her way up the tree.
Soon, she was on the branch with Spiderpaw.

"Luckily, these branches are thick." Bloomingblaze commented "If they were too thin, I would be fully advisin' ya' t' scoot down, but I think jumpin' can be done here."
She analyzed the route from this branch back down to the lower one.
"Ya' may wanna use y'r tail f'r balance." She recommended.
Someone with a full tail actually utilizing it was probably a good idea.

Soon, she jumped down onto the lower branch, clutching it with her claws as she made sure she was stable, before she moved out of the way for Spiderpaw.
"Make sure t' use y'r claws to keep y'rself up."

He watched as the warrior made her way down to the next branch. Seemed easy enough. He knew how to aim, jump, and land. He got himself ready, wiggling his haunches a bit as he leapt off of the higher branch to go to the lower one. He got his tail ready to help him.

His front paws bet the branch, however his back didn’t. His back end hung off the back and he struggled trying to get up. Sure, he knew the landing wasn’t that far from him but he didn’t feel like falling really. He was sure any cat would agree. He brought his back legs up a bit and clung them into the bottom of the branch, soon enough clawing himself up and panting a moment. It was fine—he was fine.

Bloomingblaze held her breath again as Spiderpaw almost fell.

Okay, he was fine.

"Good thing ya' kept y'rself up, that's always good just in case y'r higher up." She said, before hopping back down onto the grass "This is th' easiest part."
Once again, she moved out of the way.

“I’m good at catching myself.” he offered a small, friendly smile. His first attempt of kindness to a future denmate. And for the catching himself thing? Yeah. That was true. But except for trees he caught himself on every single mistake he’s ever made just to beat hi self over the head for it. So a little bit different. And more negative. But that didn’t matter to him.

He watched as she leapt down. Now this was truly easy. There was nowhere he could fall off. Just ground. Which he could hit his head but he probably wouldn’t. He was risking this on a probably.

He leapt down, this time landing with ease on his paws. His fur was lol messy and ruffled now from the wind and his multiple scares but then again, he’d never really been neat.

Bloomingblaze smiled as Spiderpaw landed.

"Do want to practice some more?" She questioned.
It would make sense, to perfect the skill better.
Even if climbing wasn't really a ShadowClan type trait, it was always good to know how to do it, just in case.

“Yeah- I mean- if you’re up for it.” he offered, though he hoped that the warrior said she’d stay. This did really seem fun, aside from all of the falling and scared that is.

He looked up to the tree. How high up could he make it? he wondered to himself as he inspected each branch as a path to make it to the top.
