Shellkit found himself resting on a slightly elevated rock - he liked the stony clearing, there were lots of nice places to rest. On warm days, the rocks soaked up the sun, making them nice and warm - well, sometimes too warm. Eyes closed, he thought about the old clearing. He remembered, grass, maybe? Moss? Water? It was fuzzy. This felt like home now. Though, resting on soft grass might be nicer, if the old camp even had that? Plus he'd quite like to see the rivers and swim, maybe even go fishing... Sure there was a river in this camp, but he was told it was too dangerous for kits. It was true - unfortunately. The river crashed like a storm some days, plummeting down the mountain. To be honest, swimming through a racing river sounded kind of fun... But he had to admit a nice, cool, calm river might be a little better for him. Peaceful.

'Spose he'd have to wait it out till they were 'home' to try swimming. Whatever home was - he really felt that this was his home now. Well, at least he could take other lessons! He liked learning, plus it was a nice way to pass the time, he wanted to be an apprentice now! All this waiting had him restless. Little eyes flitted open, and he gazed across the clearing. Maybe someone would be around to teach? Alertly surveying his surroundings (rare for him), he sat up tall. Who could he pester?
