Hawkthorn

Hawkthorn walked into the warrior den and sat in a nest. He could still feel his mate, Flowernose, glaring at him through the den walls. He wondered if she was going to yowl at him again or keep doing the silent treatment. Either way, Hawkthorn needed energy to deal with it. He lied down in the nest and drifted off to sleep.

Chasmkit wandered into Warriors' Den out of curiosity. It was a bit dark in there but that didn't deter her. The den smelled like freshly cut grass. Chasmkit yawned before heading in deeper.

Antpaw pads by, relieved that finally, Wolfhive seemed to be done with him. However, now he needed to go on that hunting patrol. Without any sort of practice or experience whatsoever. And he had boasted to Wolfhive that it didn't matter, that he wasn't nervous, and that he could still catch prey without practice.

Antpaw pads back and forth in front of the warrior's den, creases forming on his brow. Now what? He was about to completely embarrass himself in front of the other warriors and apprentices. Should he ask his mentor for help? No, he wasn't in the mood to see her. Not after what happened. Should he ask his father? Antpaw peeks into the warriors den to see if he is there.

                  The sun beat down on the small tabby's carmel pelt, harsh and unrelenting. The air seemed damp and sticky, seeming to weigh down Oceansong's fur as she trudded over to the warriors den, panting in the heat of the day. She dreamily reflected on the day before, when the air was dry and crisp. Starclan, it had even seemed a bit chilly in the early hours. Now, the foliage was looking droopy and gray, as unhappy as the cats where with having such a scorching day. She wondered what could cause the weather to shift so drasticly. Hopefully it wasn't a sign from Starclan or anything of the sort- this clan needed stability, not more turmoil. It was probably just weather being weather. She sighed. At this point, the only ones not bothered by the heat where the cicadas, their scratchy chirps ringing out across the camp.

                  Oceansong quickly ducked inside the warriors den, releif washing over her as the blissfully cool shade slipped over her scorched pelt. She would've likecd to get more done, but there was no sense in staying out too long and getting heatstroke. Glancing around the den, her eyes landed on a small kit looking around, eyes wide and innocent. What was a young one like that doing in the warriors den? She thought for a moment about scolding the kit for disrupting the tired warriors, but shook the thought off. Curiosity should never be brushed aside, and should always be met with open paws. A curious cat makes a wise warrior. Oceansong's mind flashed back to when she was a kit.

           'Oceankit padded out of the nursery, squinting as she stumbled out into the orange afternoon sun. Her gaze flickered across the clearing, eyes wide and curious. The warm air was filled with the mixed scents of many cats, all settling down for the day. Calm, peacefull mumurs rippled across the clearing. She glanced around, seeing a few groups of cats scattered around the clearing, some eating freshly-caught prey, while others laughed at a joke someone next to them had made. She watched the ways their tails swished, the ways their eyes moved, and the way the swiveled their ears and tilted their heads, probably gesturing to some unknown forest wonder. She didn't understand why cats liked to talk so much. She found that by just listening, you could learn so much more.

Eyes finally coming to rest on a bushlike shape on the other side of camp, her curiosity got the better of her and she scampered over to it. 

                        Entering the den, Oceankit glanced around curiously. Nests filled this den, many more than there where in the nursery. Cats lay in the nests, some sleeping, while others quietly chattered-

A voice suddenly lanced through her thoughts, making Oceankit jump.

"Oceankit, is that right? - Oh, Sorry! I didn't mean to scare ya'. I'm Falconfeather. Its great to finally meet you! Rowanwood and Luminoustide haven't been able to stop boasting for MOONS!" A bronze-coloured cat exitedly yowled.

Oceankit analized the cat for a few moments, rather appaled at how they had managed to say so much in just a matter of seconds. So many things in that sentence where simply unneciccary to say. A couple seconds later, she shook it off and opened her mouth to speak. "Its nice to meet you to." She simply mewed.'

                     A small smile spread on Oceansong's face.

"So your Chasmkit."

Chasmkit did not quite hear Oceansong's voice since she was now near the back of the den. Why was there a 1 moon old kit in the Warriors' Den? That kit could get trampled if they were not careful enough.

Well, it was now safe to say that the last few days in this clan had been unfortunate ones. She thought that when she stepped down, returned to her warrior duties, her days would be average at worst. After the clans drove out Riverclan, she thought that there would at least be some peace and quiet until their inevitable return.. But, no. Not at all the case.

First it had been Mushroompaw’s death that struck her mate deep within his heart, and then, mere days after, her own apprentice had been reported to be dead as well.

After the clan meeting in which that news was reported, Drizzlecloud dragged her feet as she trudged into the warrior's den. Once she found the nest that she shared with her mate, she all but collapsed, curling in on herself as she buried her muzzle into the moss, nosing at one of the pieces of lavender that she had threaded within.

Beefed Up T3 | Just A Scratch | Hulk SMASH

Sparrowpelt sat out at the meeting for just a few moments after to ensure all that was needed to be said, was. Then, his own paws led him to the Warriors' Den, following the faint scent of Drizzlecloud, whom he found half buried in the nest they shared. His eyes filled with sorrow. His heart ached for his mate. She'd spent so much time with Springlight, he was sure they considered each other family. He could only relate to the loss similar to how Drizzlecloud had first found him: driven by anger and grief.

The large tom set his paws in the nest, positioning himself before he'd lay down, half curling around the grey she-cat. His tail would wrap around her, gently urging her to move in close to him and he'd let his tongue rasp over her ears and the back of her neck and shoulders. Gentle rasps of comfort. A reminder that was he was here for her, always. It was the only thing he felt he could do for her at the moment. What else could he do?
