Crowtooth
Windclan Tunneler/Fury | He/him | 50 Moons
Power Card: Cold Gust

Aaaah! AAAAAAH! Parental figure abuse! Abuse by (not of) a parental figure!! Mercy on poor pityful Crowtooth, hes just a worm-dirt-cat who does not (he totally does) deserve this! Spare the poor pitiful abused soul, he can do no wrong (LIES)!

Backing up a few steps to see how he further completely deserved this:

While there was no way Crowtooth could really blame his complete lack of hops on anything but himself the tom felt pride bound to at least try given how pitiful his failures had been so far. And so he did, well aware his excuses did not excuse how badly he'd failed to get into the den.

"I know how ta leap! Im just, not very good at it..... Im built fer diggin' an' strength, not none o' that agile nonsense!" Nonsense that windclan was legitimately known for, being the clan of speed grace and agility and all. "Besides! I was tripped, it wasnt my fault it was the damn rock!" The damn rock that was not there anymore, kicked away when Crowtooth had tripped on it making him just seem like a loon pointing to and blaming empty air for slamming into the leaders den, "Its not my faaaaaaault!" a loon who was also a senior warrior that whinged like a kit.

So it was really fitting he got smacked like a kit who'd pissed off their mother and needed some proper correction, though Crowtooth would still melodramatically wail 'abuse'.
And oh, did he whine and yelp at the leader like he was being unjustly beaten to death despite being much larger and physically stronger then the old grizzled molly, quailing on the ground under the 'savage attack'. Honestly, he was such a ham of a cat, the blows didnt even hurt Crowtooth! Blessed with a thick skull and bulky frame to help a well built pain tolerance even the thwacks were little more then pats to the head.

But still he lay pancake flat, 'cowering' against the dirt, whimpering melodramatically at the leader smacking with nary a twitch of resistance even as he complained like he was being murdered. Twilightstar should expect little else.

The molly's warning was acknowledged with a huff from the cat-skunk-rug on the ground, though straight disregarded in his mind because like hell was Crowtooth being beaten by this stupid leaders den, he'd get it one day. And he totally wouldnt end up hurting himself one day, Twilightstar had no clue what she was talking about.

But his sulking was cut short, tom drawing himself up to a casual sitting position, as he mentally went over the report again.
"Right, uh, got some trouble makers ya might wanna keep an eye on if yer not already an' such.

Im sure ya already saw Willowpaw an' that kid she found, pretty sure she didnt steal it an' dont see reason it shouldnt stay but its an increasin' problem that cats keep thinkin' its ok to bring strangers ta camp. We might need ta start punishin' that.

Batshriek was reportedly actin' weird on his patrol, weird enough ta note so I might recommend he's checked on because from what Ive seen somethin's up.

Finally Flowerpaw.... She wanted on a patrol an' I deemed ta give 'er a chance after her apology but.... Whisperin'hive had issues wit' her. She reportedly ran off an' vanished mid patrol an' came back wit' an insane amount o' prey he cant confirm she hunted in a too short time. Like suspicious amount. He's reportin' she's unreliable an' irresponsible an' I believe it."
That last one was the big issue really. This cat was already on final warning after all the problems she'd caused and now this disastrous patrol. Whisperinghive had ordered her to watch the sky for hawks and she'd vanished, coming back strangely showing no respect for her patrol lead. A demotion obviously hadnt curbed her enough.

" 'Sides that it's all good news. Silverfur took her knocks, borders are secure, huntin' is well.

Oh! An' me an' Hawkfur saw this.... thin' out near the gorse an' it was nothin' like we seen before, latched onta Hawkfur, but didnt hurt us. Pretty sure its dead on the thorns but it kinda moved when we left so if ya wanna check it out take someone 'cuz Im suspicious."
Honestly Crowtooth was downplaying his bafflement and fright at the plastic bag, that thing had caused chaos, but he was starting to feel silly about it anyways. It didnt hurt either cat, so it couldnt be that bad even if it moved and didnt get hurt by bites and claws and latched onto Hawkfur and didnt let go.

WindClan Re: WindClan Leader's Den

FADINGDAWN

“I still have yet to show him the exact landmarks of our territory,” Fadingdawn explained with a wave of her plumy tail. Her green eyes gleamed. “His sense of smell is excellent, however, and Cardinalpaw shows promise. He caught the scents of rabbit, mouse, and vole, and I had him go after the vole, see if he’d be able to catch it. If he succeeded, I was going to have him bring it to you. I know you’d like a warm meal from a fresh hunting session,” The white-and-pale-ginger tabby purred.

The WindClanner sat back on her haunches, wrapping her tail neatly around her paws. “I plan on taking him to the borders later on. After the recent murder on our border with ShadowClan, I don’t want Cardinalpaw to get the wrong idea, and I feel as if Sedgewater Valley is still somewhat dangerous to be taking him there, at the moment. As far as I am concerned, the Thunderglade, I feel, is the best border to show him first. As for landmarks..” Fadingdawn paused, eyes narrowing thoughtfully. “I think I’ll take him to Twilight Falls first, give him the proper idea of how to show respect to those above him and to those who have given up their lives for him. Don’t get me wrong, Cardinalpaw’s a good apprentice, but I feel like his attitude - or at least his body language - needs a little bit of work.”

~ TWISTEDPAW OF WINDCLAN ~

AFAB | SHE/HER | APPRENTICE | 18 MOONS | NO PURRKS

Small, skinny, black she-cat with a light gray belly and tail-tip, a mangled tail, a crooked jaw, and one blind eye.

When she felt Twilightstar stiffen, a jolt of fear ran through her. Had she upset the WindClan leader? Still, she pushed through, and to her relief, Twilightstar relaxed. A purr rumbled in her throat as the lilac-gray she-cat's muzzle brushed against the top of her head. Twistedpaw pulled away and was greeted by one of the warmest smiles she'd ever seen. It wasn't just written on her face; it gleamed in her emerald-green eye, polishing it like the precious jewel. Twistedpaw's fears and insecurities melted away. It felt like the greenleaf sun had sunk past her pelt and gone right into her heart. She did her best to smile back; her crooked jaw made it lopsided, as always, but there was no doubting how genuine her expression of joy was. It, too, gleamed in her only working eye.

Twilightstar's sweet voice and kind words only made Twistedpaw happier - and they struck a chord within her, a heartstring that vibrated and left a faint ring in her ear. Living a happy, fulfilling life for as long as I can would help her. Twistedpaw had already wanted to do that. However, recent events - and past ones, too - had all crowded around her, filling her with confusion and pain.

Her interactions with Batglare had taught her what it was like to have a mentor and a father. Now she wondered if this was what it was like to have a mother. Not a cruel, condescending mother like Willowsky, but someone who truly wanted the best for her and everyone around her. Someone who was strong instead of caving into her selfish desires for a "perfect" daughter. Leechscar could be difficult, and Dreamlight had gone blind, but Twilightstar still loved them equally. Even though she spent a lot of time away from them, it was clear that she cared about them.

Twistedpaw took a deep breath as Twilightstar pulled away. Now was the time for her to speak. Her bulging light gray tail-tip twitched. The smile faded from her face, and she used a round black paw to push her jaw into a better position. Where to begin?

"Well... I've been doing my best to live a good life. A fulfilling life," she meowed. On instinct, she began stroking the smooth wooden floor with one paw, wishing she had some moss to comfort her. "But... it's been rough. I know I'm old for an apprentice, and I need to talk to you about that. I promise I'm almost at the end of my training. Batglare's been a fantastic mentor. I... I was going through some really rough times at the start of my apprenticeship. I could barely train, I was so scared of everyone and so hateful of myself. I believed everything Willowsky said about me, and Flutteringkit, too. I thought I was a problem because of my deformities. That I weighed everyone down, that it was my fault that they acted the way they did." The familiar fear and darkness swirled at the corners of Twistedpaw's mind. They were dark memories she preferred not to revisit, but... they were a part of her. She had to acknowledge them, talk about them.

"However, I realized that I wasn't the problem, that it wasn't my fault that cats like Willowsky and Flutteringkit acted out of hate and prejudice. And it's been my dream to become a WindClan warrior. I've been working toward it all my life. But... it's still been hard. I was delayed again when the RiverClan patrol attacked me. Batglare talked me through it. I vowed not to let myself be afraid, and I sought advanced battle training from Ravenhawk. I want to be able to protect my Clan and myself, even if it takes extra time. And I know I'm close to being a warrior now.

"I know I need to power through life. Be strong, face whatever comes at me, be the best WindClan warrior and cat I can be. Like you've done. You're so brave and tough. But... life is just... it's so hard sometimes. My foster sister, Brightpaw, went missing." Tears clouded Twistedpaw's mismatched eyes, blurring Twilightstar's lilac-gray pelt and mixing it in with the den's brownish shadows.

"I don't know where she went. My foster mother, Fireflame, also went missing a while ago, even though StarClan brought her back from the dead." Twistedpaw took a deep, shaky breath, trying to blink away her tears. "And... even though I know not to listen to their words, it still hurts, knowing there are cats who will judge me for the way I look. Life can just be so cruel sometimes, especially toward me, with Willowsky and Cedarfrost and... well, everything. I don't want to sound weak or selfish. I'm determined to be the best warrior I can be! It's just... really hard sometimes."

She met Twilightstar's gaze.

"How do you do it? Act so confident and brave when you've been through so much?"

@Moonraven [This interaction is melting my heart aaaaaa]

Haha! Aubs did it! She made Bigcat happy! Suuuuper happy! She felt better now!! It was now scientifically proven. Pat pats fixed everything. A pleased expression was evident on her face as she pulled back and sat on her haunches, appearing quite proud. But she had come to deliver news and recieve a story. Juuuust like Breezy and all the grown up in the clan because Owlkit was going to be an APPRENTICE next meeting! Which meant she was big strong important and the clan couldn't survive without her. "I haves news! N nnouncement!" The 6 moon Old declared proudly. She was Quite obviously proud of her recent achievement. "I try-neded to get y flower as a gift from th' tops of the nurs'ry but fell n Br- Deadmoon saved m'life!! Was blind n dusty n ver' thorny. Took me t' Plant Whisp'rer n she cleaned n unblinded me!" Wow, now she was out of breath. Pant pant. It was very hard to say that much without breathing but by some miracle Owl had done it.. she had discovered the power of- of- of-... losing her train of thought. What an awesome power. She waited looking all energized for a response before the one flop eared kitten chattered on. 'Buuuuut was wanting a story n heard you been leader through aweso' stuffs n wanted a story! How's did you become Leader? Oo! Oo! Who 'as leader b'fore ya?" her enthusiasm never wavered in the slightest.

| Lightningstorm |
20 Moons - WindClan Medicine Cat
Flock Together [Tier 3] - Active | Mind Reader - Active | Dreamwalker - Inactive

A small snort escaped the medicine cat at the leader's question, a mixture of amusement and befuddlement. Ever since she could remember - which was granted not as much as she would like - she had been dealing with all sorts of cats. Some pleasant. Some funny. Some grouchy and reclusive. And some who could quite frankly not stand the sight of her. They didn't make this a secret, openly glaring at her and refusing to speak much to her. And yet even with this in mind, they didn't refuse orders. They didn't seem hell bent on attacking her for even daring to suggest for them to go on patrol. A job that fell to all clan cats. Including herself.

She had hoped Batshriek was new to the clan. Unaccustomed to their rules and how their society worked. It was something she could understand. The herbalist had been having a crash course by living through what she was certain she had grown up in. Of course, with her, there was a familiarity to it all. Distant, but warm. Sense making. If one had not grown up surrounded by these customs, by these tasks, by so many cats... well, she could understand why the warrior would have seemed so equally afraid as she seemed aggressive. If she wasn't new, however... then the bloody hell was wrong with that warrior?

"I've received death glares by apprentices from the moment I opened my eyes confused in the nursery. This wasn't the typical disdain, but full on... I don't think rebellion is the word, but it was an open challenge to my orders. I asked her to lead a patrol to Twolegplace, and she silently refused. I can't say she would have attacked me had I pressed on. I didn't let it get on like that, but the refusal was absolute. No words. No actions other than open hostility with her posture and expression. Like if I was the enemy. I thought it might be nerves, but I got no response, not even after I dismissed her. It was clear she had gotten what she had wanted, which was not heading out on patrol, and she left to rest elsewhere. I've no idea if she was having an off day, but I would keep my eye on her. I don't care if a cat dislikes me. They are welcomed to. But the moment you let any sort of disgruntlement get in the way of your tasks as a warrior..."

Lightningstorm shrugged, letting the sentence trail away. She had nothing else to add. Technically the cat's one fault had been refusing to go on patrol for no reason. The medicine cat was certain that she would have left her patrol to flounder on their own had she pressed on, and she would rather have a team ready to work together for such a place than a cat who could obviously not be arsed. She wasn't certain if Twilightstar saw something off with the whole ordeal. The calico simply thought it... odd. Unfitting of a warrior. But not something she would assume fell to her area of expertise. So, despite her curiosity, she let it go. As far as she was concerned, she had far more important things to talk to Twilightstar about anyways. Much more merry things, too.

"Enough of tha', though. I think it's time for some proper good news, innit?" she chirped, her eyes lighting up instantly as she tapped her tail excitedly against the shelter's smooth, wooden floor. "I found myself an apprentice."

@Moonraven [Twilightstar]
| So at this point, since Rabbitpaw is officially her apprentice and I might be having Lightningstorm come by for another visit sooner rather than later, we can leave this one here if you'd like? Assume the conversation got on offscreen? Happy to continue it if you'd like, though! I never say no to Twilight and Lightning talks. |

@Moonraven

Twilightstar simply stared at the tom as he made up excuses for not getting her den. However, as he had already done it before she stared with open disbelief in her gaze. It was completely Crowtooth's fault. The molly rolled her eyes at his dramatic act.

"It's not the rock's fault you're a clumsy oaf. You should have watched where you were placing your two left paws." The WindClan leader continued teasing the younger cat. The eye roll grew larger and was followed by a head shake at the cries of abuse.

So dramatic. The topic shifted to troublemakers and she flattened her ears. Yeah, WindClans had a lot of those as of late. The first one was Willowpaw. Twilightstar didn't know the she-cat had talked to Crowtooth about bringing the kit in before paw, but still, this wasn't something she wanted make a normal occurrence.

"I do plan to warn the clan about bringing home strangers. You'd think after the trouble we've had in the past with rogues and loners that they know better than to bring them home without my approval." She meowed the latter more to herself than Crowtooth. He hadn't been around when WindClan dealt with the fire or the rogue attack.

Her tail noticeably curled in discontent as Batshriek's name was brought up. As this was the second time he's been brought to her attention she'd have to make it a priority to talk to that one. If he couldn't cooperate or pull his weight in the clan he was going to have to leave. If you were causing a fuss enough to get reported by the fury and the medicine cat then obviously a problem was being made.

The news about Flowerpaw was not unexpected. She still sighed loudly after Crowtooth's report. "I'll call Flowerpaw and Batshriek in after this. Hopefully, I can get to the bottom of what's going on with Batshriek, as for Flowerpaw. As she's already been warned for both fighting and being a horrible influence around the clan, I've also had reports of her harassment and lying, and add in the disobedience and the suspicious amount of prey, I'm thinking the clans are not a place for her." Flowerpaw had been given a chance. and now it was time for her to go.

It was great to hear that Silverfur had taken her licks although Twilightstar was confused about this dead thing Crowtooth and Hawkfur found. It didn't sound like it was harmful and it was dead, supposedly, but it would not hurt to check on none the less. "I'll take Batglare with me and have a look at it." If she didn't know what it was he might.

Twilightstar grinned, it sounded like Cardianlpaw was turning out to be a great hunter. "That's wonderful, thank you for being thoughtful." Twilightstar purred gently. At the mention of borders, she nodded in agreement with the assessment. Although a little confused about the name she mentioned. She assumed it was a slip of the tongue as Twilightstar had those here and there.

She couldn't help but further grow confused as she mentioned where she'd be taking her apprentice. The leader's tail twitched as she commented. "That all sounds like a plan, but I would reacquaint yourself with the names. ShadowClan's border is the Whispering Wetlands, and Sedgewater Valley is RiverClan's border and currently probaably the safest boarder as RiverClan is curretly not here. Same with our landmarks, Starry Meadow is our burial grounds, not Twilight Falls."

Twilightstar listens silently and intently to Twistedpaw's words and questions. How does she do it? That was a good question not one asked to her ever. So there was a long stretch of silence before a loving smile touched her face.

"Well it's not easy, but I suppose I just remember something my mother told me. When I was younger, an apprentice, I lost my brother in an incident that I believed was completely my fault. I was quite distraught about it, but my mother told me to take all that pain and hurt inside and make meaning from it." She had forgotten that. It was so long ago that the memory had gotten buried underneath everything else. Those words had got her to where she was now.

"I know that I have to see the path myself, clear and clean, and find the strength to follow it, even as the fallen and lost pull me down into despair. I must find that light inside, no matter how small, and hang it in the sky to guide others. It's a struggle and often it feels like a losing battle, and sometimes I lose my way, doubts and sadness block my path. But sometimes little moments like these remind me why I need to push through and carry on through it till I reach the end."

"If enduring means I can touch even a single soul like you, it's worth it. I've done something meaningful with all that hurt. Whether it's guiding the clan through some craziness, or simply talking with cats like I am you. Whether you learn something or find you're not alone in whatever you're going through, and so on. I've found purpose in the agony."
It was so hard to remember so many times why she did this. Sometimes she needed help pulling herself out of the darkness. Twilightstar felt better after this reminder. It was a pity that she'd fall right back down the dark abyss not long after this.

How's did you become Leader? Oo! Oo! Who 'as leader b'fore ya?" her enthusiasm never wavered in the slightest.

Twilightstar blinks her eye at the supposed news and announcement Owlkit gives. Her eye gleamed with worry after listening. She was quite the adventurous soul. Leechscar had seemed interested in training her so she hoped he knew what he was getting into, or at least watched her well.

"You are the sweetest and the most thoughtful little one, but you really need to be more careful. I appreciate your effort, but I would cried and cried had I heard that you got hurt because of me. You're lucky Deadmoon was around to catch you and... Plantwhisper was around to fix you up." She told the energetic kit kindly but sternly. The leader figured plantwhisper was Lightingstorm. That was quite the interesting nickname, fitting in its own way.

"I hope you told them thank you for helping you." Twilightstar added, leaning in to give the kitten a lick on her head. She got comfortable after Owlkit demanded a story. She didn't have to ask what type of story she was interested in.

"Oh, well the leader before me was Brightsky." Twilightstar wasn't sure how entertaining this story would be as it was nothing specular in her opinion. "Her name had been Brightstar when she picked me as deputy. WindClan had been going through a time where we weren't catching or finding any prey and everyone was very hungry. There was a lot of pressure on Brightstar to solve the problem and it was simply too much so she decided to swap ranks with me. I became Twilightstar and she became Brightsky, my first deputy. She didn't stay long, disappeared a bit after being named deputy." Twilightstar simplified the story a lot and was leaving quite a bit out, but no need to scare the kit with tales of cannibals and murder.

As the warrior and apprentice entered her den, she sat up alert and concerned. "Of course, what's up?" Twilightstar worried that something had happened and scanned over both cats with green eye in search of wounds.

Default Re: WindClan Leader's Den

As her rper would completely forget to call them if she didn't do this now, Twilightstar walked to the entrance of her den and stood at the edge. "Batshriek and Flowerpaw, I need you both in my den now." She yowled out. It was time to sort these two out.

Flowerpaw

Flowerpaw walked into the den. "Yes Twilightstar." she mewed kinda nervously.

Lionscar

"When i was getting ready to train Mosspaw we did a little race to see how fast he was. But it went all wrong when Mosspaw pointed out that..... We found his mom torn into pieces near a tree she was ripped to shreds and looked as though she was ambushed by another cat." he mewed he's never seen such a horrible sight before.
