Kestrelpaw yawned. It was her first day of training! How excited she was! She jumped out of her nest, and ran outside. She saw her mentor and bounded over. Hi Oceanclaw! She squeaked happily. When will we get started?! She was soooo excited!

Oceanclaw let out a mrrow of amusement. Kestrelpaw was restless! Follow me! He mewed, leading her to the forest with a flick of his tail. Today we are going to learn some hunting basics! He sat down, gazing at her, his blue eyes steady.

Oceanclaw pressed his belly to the ground, his tail low and unmoving. He raised his back end slightly, motioning for Kestrelpaw to do the same. His ears twitched, and he tasted the air for prey.
