Sunset twitched her tail and dodged out of his way. For a cat as small as you, you would probably die on the journey! She snarled and bared her teeth threateningly.

Cricket was amused by the interaction. "Could a kit like you even be old enough for this journey? It sounds like it's far away." She pointed out.

Notch put his tail out to block Marsh from leaping at the she-cats again. "Do you think you could not antagonize everyone?" He meowed with a soft growl, mostly directed at Cricket because he knew she was mainly doing this for fun.

Cricket snorted in response. "I promise nothing." She grumbled stubbornly.

Notch sighed with a huff. Why did he travel with this stubborn scruff again? He honestly couldn't remember why they started to travel together in the first place. "Cricket and I have come a long way." He explained to Sunset. "We lived in a different territory entirely." He suppressed a shudder. Back then they had also lived around groups of cats who referred to themselves as clans. And they had joined a group of rogues being led by one former clan cat. It ended up being a highly unpleasant experience...he just hoped this wouldn't turn out to be the same. He glanced at Cricket briefly, and she met his gaze before turning away sharply. Clearly, she didn't want to talk about that time either.

Marsh hit the ground with a flump and growled, attempting to lunge again. But this time, Notch stopped him. Hey! He mewed, I need to show her how tough I am! And puffed out his chest.

Smokey purred and got up from their nest. Morning. She said, yawning. Boy was she hungry. I'll be right back! She called to the kit before bolting off to hunt.
