A small cat approaches you in ThunderClan camp, tail swishing eagerly. You noticed he's very small for a warrior.. but that's alright! Once he reaches you, he gives you a big huge smile and starts to speak.
"Hiya! I'm Tinyowl, but you can call me hoots if ya like! My twoleg is askin' me to say a few things for this super-duper coolio form thingy that Bumblebee's twoleg is doin for the herb cat! I'm excited as heck, I almost think I got wings! Let's do this then, how 'bout it?"

heya! welcome to tinyowl's application for medicine cat! i just made him, but im already in love with the little bean! he has been submitted and as SOON as he is accepted, he WILL be roleplayed with!
he's 21 moons old and rather small for his age. hes about the size of an apprentice. but don't worry, he's just small!
he has a big heart and loves to make others laugh and smile. he hates when cats are sad and will do everything in his power to help 'em, even if it includes making silly faces, acting like an overall doofus or somethin' else. no one is sad on hoots watch, nuh-uh!

i got a few plot ideas for him already! maybe he can get attacked by a clanmate and have to lose an eye, leg or somethin else. i can see romance plots and kittens in his future as well as tons of friendship plots. i can also see a plot where he is in a friendship but the friend is only using him and never even liked him to begin with and he gets real sad. poor bean. if he becomes med cat, maybe even a plot where he tries to save somecat but he fails and they die and it really affects him. these are just some rough ideas!
tinyowl is bapping his twoleg's nose when she finishes and he giggles a bit as she steps back.
"well, now that my twoleg has told ya about me, i'd be super duper happy if bumblebee chose me as a medicine cat! nows I know i'm little, but i can do anythin' yous all can do! okay? good! oh! webbs is callin me for a patrol! see ya later!! enjoy the other applications!!"

In a mystical abandoned Twoleg nest lays a broken oak sign that reads Welcome to Pumpkinpoppy's her-You cannot read the rest of the text due to it being too faded. At last the stiff fallen log (door) moves suddenly, and you're greeted by a orange cat. “Hello, I'm Pumpkinpoppy, and welcome to my herb garden. Well it used to belong to a cat called Springlight until she disappeared in the dense forest undergrowth and never returned.. So I took over. I'm hoping to learn to grow them so I can be Thunderclan's next medicine cat. Stay a while won't you?" They meowed. Sitting on a piece of moss, you ask Pumpkinpoppy some questions.
‘What are your pronouns?' You ask. “Oh, it depends on the day,He/they currently though." Pumpkinpoppy responds
‘What is your personality like?’ “I'm calm, respectful though I can be a bit absent-minded and tend to bottle up my emotions."
‘Why do you want to become a medicine cat?'
“One, to save my clanmates of course but secondly, to figure out my suffix, I know ‘poppy' is a type of herb but what does it do? And clumsy twoleg who set this up cannot afford the knowledge of herbs purrrk."
And with that, you take a nibble of squirrel then bid Pumpkinpoppy farewell, setting off onto another adventure.
the library is quiet and clean, just like you know it to be. passing by the shelves there's book with an orange binding that catches your eye. pulling it from it's spot it looks worn and well-loved. an encyclopedia on the meaning and uses of herbs. maybe it's an interesting read...
An Herb Encyclopedia According to Yarrowcrest
used to numb minor wounds, ease small infections and sores, and promote healing. used for bottling.
every microaggression goes beneath his skin, never to be seen again. every bad decision, every opinion. every thought. though true to his morals and stubborn, he speaks up very little, even if he would like to more than anything. years of his words meaning nothing have reduced him to this but perhaps a new position in life will help him find the confidence he needs to become more outspoken, or maybe there's an herb for that, too? remedy pending on that but as for burdock it can be used to promote growth of his character. healing of his confidence. ease each and every sore spot left behind until nothing remains.
used to bind wounds, staunch bleeding, hold herbs together, and bind broken bones. used for battle scars.
despite his morals and the morals of his peers, he cares for his clan. duty comes first. when battle called him, he not only rose to the occasion but he drew first blood and attacked on his leader's wishes. the tear on his ear reminds him of this every day. he is willing to devote himself to the clan if they devote themselves to him, in turn. cobwebs bind things together. he would use them to bind together his clan mates to create stronger bonds. more resilient bonds.
used to calm anxiety or grief. used for grief.
now he knows how to deal with loss. having dealt with grief so many times, losing so many loved ones, he knows the delicacy of death and mourning. his parents, his mate, his adopted father, and now what could have been his sister... grief is nothing new to him. having struggled though it on his own he knows now how best to move on. he feels nothing but respect for the dead and would do everything in his power to comfort not only the dead, but the living. because those that live keep the legacy of the dead alive. he would act as the goat weed for those dealing with loss and lift them up again.
used as a painkiller; excellent for sedation; soothes shock, distress, and anxiety. used to numb.
as a cat that struggles with anxiety himself he understands how hard it can be. with war and death so common today amongst the clans he understands how easily one can go into shock, how one can give into fear. he understands it all personally. which is why he would act as the poppy seeds themselves, using his own account to ease the troubles of his clan mates. physical health is important but to him one's mental state is even more important. which is why easing one's distress is utmost importance.
Chapter 5. Yarrow used to extract poison from wounds. makes a cat vomit up toxic plants and cure stomachaches, cures mild coughs, and heals cracked or sore paw pads. a name.
just a name? what does it mean?
it means loyalty. it means devotion. it means longing for change and peace. it means many more but more than anything it means... yarrowcrest. as medicine cat he would be this and more. he could be so much more. he's still young so he has plenty of room to grow just like the herbs he would be using.
