the small tom sat in the clearing, using his gray paws to stack a pile of acorns he had collected from outside the warriors den. his little pink tongue stuck out in concentration and his tail flicked from side to side.
"oh c'mon now, ya dang acorns! get in a nice 'lil tower! up ya get, little 'corns!" he mewed out loud, trying very hard to do something other cats were sure to be very curious about. yes yes.

he looked up to see an apprentice standing over him. ignoring her rather blunt tone, the small tom would smile brightly, a purr rumbling in his throat.
"oh! hello there! i'm just doin' somethin' fun! would yous wanna join in with me?" the owlet's smile was infectious. he had been told as much before. his tail twitched to and fro, still smiling at ravenpaw, waiting patiently for her answer. ohhh it would be super duper fun if she joined his game! oh yes!

his eyes brightened. this cat wanted to play his game! oh how fun! he would gesture to the acorn pile.
"so's the game goes like this. you try to stack your pile as high as you can gets it before it all falls. whoever's is higher when we both stops playin' wins!"
he purred. he explained that pretty well he thought. gazing at the cat again, he blinked. "so's.. would ya likes to play?"

the tom flicked his tail in delight. taking half of his pile and pushing it towards her.
"annnnd go's!" he mewed, beginning to concentrate, tongue poking out of his muzzle. he grabbed an acorn and balanced it on another. he didn't mind if he won or lost to be frank. he was happy to have a cat to play his curious 'lil game with.
as he stacked, he would ask her a question. "sorry, i didn't gets your name before. mine's tinyowl, but yous can call me hoots!"

Ravenpaw began as Tinyowl said go.
Her attempts at balancing the acorns were… sad, to say the least.
They fell multiple times, but her expression did not change.
“Okay.” She said after Tinyowl said his name and offered a nickname “I’m Ravenpaw.”
She finally got an acorn to balance on another.
