Checking up on the camp to make sure it was secure and safe from any predators had become a habitual task for Dusklion. Each morning when she awoke she made it the first thing she did - consistently checking for inconsistencies, or patches that could prove to be weak and put the Clan in danger. It was tedious to say the least, but it at least put her mind at ease when it came to the safety of RiverClan.

Too focused on the patch of bramble-rocks in front of her to notice a kit coming up behind her, Dusklion's brows furrowed. "Gonna have to fix these up, they're a bit of a mess..." she grumbled to herself with a flick of her tail.

A timid cat emerged from the apprentice den, his wary gaze no different from his ordinary one. Rest at the entrance, his gaze flicked over to a cat in particular. A look of interest springed into Dragonfly’s normally anxious or nervous stare. The deputy seemed reserved at the moment but his mentor wasn’t exactly training him right now for… reasons… so ofcourse he couldn’t blame the cat. Rising to his paws with flattened ears, the brown-coated cat padded to the older she.
“U-uh… H-h-hello..!” Dragonflypaw mewed, his voice trembling in sudden fear. He hadn’t thought Dusklion (He thought her name was that, right?) would be so intimidating to approach… No! Stop being scared. ”I-I was.. Wondering. If.. y-you could teach me s-something.” Why did his voice keep stuttering?! Now even the tiniest kit would know how much of a scaredy-kit he was. ”Um… C-Clan H-history.. Please?”

Shellkit found himself bouncing around the camp once more. Being a kit was starting to become a little boring. Especially at five moons! He felt like he should be doing something more but, he couldn't, could he? Not long now though! He'd be an apprentice soon, then he could start doing the real fun stuff! Oh, and, er, the not so fun stuff... He tried not to think about it - apprenticehood was meant to be full of fun! Hunting, duties, chatting... And the dreaded battle training. There's no point thinking about that though. There are more exciting things, like, who would become his mentor? That was certainly exciting! Mid-bounce, he noticed a little pebble - something to play with! The kit crouched down, staring at it with wide green eyes, before batting it about a little. IT wasn't very exciting. He stared off across the camp: someone was emerging from the apprentice den... Was it.. Flyyy, no.... Dawn? D.. Dapple? He could swear he'd heard mention of the cat's name. Ooh but he was approaching Dusklion, interesting... Totally forgetting his pebble, he observed the two from afar. Once it dawned on him that ____? paw was asking for a lesson, excitement shot through him! He found himself bounding over, stride filled with giddiness. "Can I learn some too!!?" The kit yelled, "clan history sounds real fun!" he trilled once he'd gotten closer to the pair.
