The Ash comes back at Dusk

Duskfur trotted along the outskirts, wondering what she should do. Maybe she could settle for a nap? Or maybe she should go hunting. That would be better for her clan. Duskfur parted her jaws hoping to find a trace of squirrel, but there was nothing. Not even a stale scent. She padded further through the outskirts and tasted the air again. A vole!

(rolls die) 16! Makes the catch!

Duskfur dropped into a hunter's crouch and flattened herself to the ground. Her lips curled and she sprang from her position, landing directly in front of the vole and slamming a paw down on it, claws unsheathed. She made a killing bite and licked her lips.

{Ashfoot}

Ashfoot watched as Duskfur made the catch. How she wished she could do that. But, alas, it was quite impossible with her disabled leg. Ashfoot turned her head to glance at her useless leg. She twisted it and winced as a sting of pain shifted througg her leg. She sighed and walked toward Duskfur. Hey, Duskfur! She called out. Ashfoot limped over and looked at the vole that she had caught. Nice catch! Ashfoot purred.

{Also, Ashfoot was taken into Windclan as an outsider. She has a disabled leg from a major injury.}

Duskfur nodded in welcome as her clanmate approached. Thanks! Do you want some? She purred to Ashfoot. Maybe she didn't have to be bored after all. Duskfur licked the blood off her paws and grinned.

Oh. Sure. Thanks! Ashfoot meowed. You have first bite. It was your catch after all. She sat down and looked around the forest.

Duskfur nodded happily. Sure! She mewed. Do you want to hunt with me after this? She asked through a mouthful of the vole. Duskfur licked her lips and lifted her tail.

Ashfoot looked down at her leg. She glanced at Duskfur and meowed, Sorry. Im not sure I can, with this leg and all. Ashfoot leaned down and took a bite of the vole. She lifted her head and licked her lips.

Duskfur purred. Can you try? She asked in a friendly tone. Maybe if Ashfoot could hunt, she could exercise her leg. Or... Maybe not. She playful batted her clanmate's ear, her tail high in the air.

Ashfoot lifted her tail. She nodded. Okay. But can you show me a hunting technique? I havent had proper training because.. Ashfoot meowed quietly.

Duskfur smiled. Of course! She had never trained anyone before, so this was a start. So first... She began, dropping into a hunting crouch.You want to crouch like this. Don't do it if it hurts though. Duskfur cautioned, aknowledging the fact of her leg. She tasted the air, trying to find a trace of prey in the air...

Ashfoot noted her stance and tried to copy it. Unknown to her, she was unbalanced and relying on her uninjured side. Ashfoot ignored the sting of pain in her leg and opened her mouth for a prey scent.
