Rabbitpaw wasn’t feeling good. He hasn’t really felt good for some time to be honest. His whole life has been flipped several times over and he’s starting to think that it’s catching up to him now. Not even Rabbitpaw could outrun feelings. Not forever and as much as he knows that he shouldn’t bottle things up it was so much easier to sometimes and he didn’t really wanna think. He didn’t know who to go to and he really just wanted to curl up under the maple tree in the kit corrals and just cry his eyes out until he could pull himself together. He knows that Lightningpaw would help and that Crowtooth would and that his mother would but he doesn’t want to worry them. He needs to be cheerful, happy Rabbitpaw for them because if Rabbitpaw is sad who can be happy…or something. Maybe he’s giving himself too much credit.

The apprentice sighed and pulled himself out of his nest and into the clearing. He should do something otherwise he’s going to find himself in his nest all day. The fight was just the day previous but it felt like he was still so tired from it. The battle, healing, the meeting. He was so tired but he just woke up so he shouldn’t be. The blonde looked around the clearing, green eyes moving to each of the cats in it before landing on one in particular. Whisperinghive. Rabbitpaw knew him briefly.

The older feline having been in the apprentice den when he was first named and then having met up with him at the gathering following his naming ceremony. Rabbitpaw wasn’t sure what possessed him to walk over to the warrior but he figured why not if fate wanted his paws to lead him over there. Maybe Whisperinghive would be willing to go on a walk with him or something…training…yeah! Rabbitpaw was good at training! But he was soooo tired. So maybe…just a walk. If the other wanted of course. Rabbitpaw made his way over to the young warrior.

“Whisperinghive? Heya, if you aren’t too busy, would you like to take a walk with me? I just want to stretch my legs a bit but I think Crowtooth and Miss Lightningstorm would get upset if I irritate my wounds with any training.”

Whisperinghive felt...sad? Was that the right word? Or was it angry, lonely, and scared? Was he supposed to feel this way? Was it normal to feel like this when a close friend went missing? These feelings confused the orange feline, causing him to want to throw up and sleep for the next moon to make it go away. Why did Stempaw leave? Were they forced? Did he leave because Whisperinghive was too mean? Whisperinghive stared at the sky as his thoughts clouded and fogged up his brain, his tail lashing and twitching side to side. He almost didn't hear the voice of...Rabbitpaw, was it? Yeah! They met at the gathering!


Whisperinghive's dull green gaze flickered to the apprentice, his ear twitching softly as he listened to Rabbitpaw. They..wanted him to walk with them? Someone other than Stempaw, Leopardsong, and Dreamlight wanted to hang out? Warm happiness swelled in the older toms chest before he spoke. "I'd love to, Rabbitpaw. He said, getting to his paws. "Did you have anywhere specific in mind?"

Oh! Right, walking meant having a place to well walk. His mind went to the territory tour he had been on with Crowtooth, going over the options he mulled it over in his head before a different, more melancholy memory was pulled to the forefront of his mind... Well, he was already kind of sad, maybe paying them a visit would help him feel a bit better. Though was it right to make Whisperinghive take him out there only to force him to listen to him cry to his siblings. Hmm, the apprentice almost wanted to sigh but he didn't and he forced a small, nervous smile. "Would you mind...taking me to Starry Meadow. I want to chat with my siblings briefly. If you don't mind or anything, don't feel pressured..I can see how that can be a bit awkward or uncomfortable for you." The apprentice nervously asked the warrior. Then he looked away towards the exit to camp.

"Or if you have anywhere in mind, we can head that way instead! I really don't uhhhh mind." Though he really did want to visit his siblings on the matter. He could maybe get Crowtooth to walk him out to Starry Meadow later in case Whisperinghive didn't want to go.

Starry Meadow? Where was that again..Oh yeah! Whisperinghive remembered, nodding. He doesn't mind going there- to talk with siblings? Oh. The tom thought about that. He hadn't grown up with siblings, just a little interaction with a kit or Leopardsong every once in a while. "I don't mind," The warrior started, stepping towards the exit of camp. "I need to get out of camp, and I haven't been to Starry Meadow in a while." He said with a smile.



Whisperinghive lashed his tail and padded towards the exit of the camp, trying to stretch out his stiff legs. He stopped right at the exit and looked back to make sure Rabbitpaw was following and to see if he was walking too fast.

TW: Discussions of potential death, Kind of grieving

Rabbitpaw smiled and quickly fell to the warrior's side as he began to make his way towards the camps exit. He hadn't really expected the warrior to go along with his want, or actually he was like half uncertain that he would. It would be kind of awkward, it wasn't like Whisperinghive was someone that was close to Rabbitpaw despite a couple of their encounters. Though it was nice of him to walk with Rabbitpaw out to the grave yard anyways. It did make him wonder if there was anyone in the meadow for Whisperinghive. The tom cleared those thoughts and continued beside the warrior as they made their way to the meadow.

After arriving, the apprentice didn't waste much time before padding over to where his mom had shown him where his siblings rested. Rabbitpaw looked down at the graves and then very gently began to pick at the grass and flowers that had started to grow over them. Taking care to dig out the weeds and tall grass around the delicate flowers to allow the little blooms more room to grow properly. As he worked he spoke to them. "Hey, it's been awhile hasn't it? Sorry about that, a lot has happened since me and mom last visited. There was a huge fight that ended with Riverclan out of the forest which was scary and cool... I guess. Mom wasn't happy about the whole thing, I'm not sure how to feel about it. But Twilightstar has been around for awhile and I trust her as a leader and cat, so if she thinks it's necessary than it probably is. I imagine it was a lot scarier for you guys to watch, but I'm fine! I have a couple scrapes and bruises but I'm a-okay. Mom didn't go..."

"...I'm worried about mom. I'm sure you guys are too, it's just that. She tells me she's getting better but she isn't... it doesn't seem like it. She's so sick. I don't even... know what to do. I'm scared. Is she going to leave me and Vixenpaw?" He asked the air. His siblings couldn't give him a response, even if they did speak. As knowledgeable as the stars are, he doesn't think that they can predict deaths. That'd be a bit much even for Starclan. Rabbitpaw's green eyes stared at the graves, unsure how to continue as tears began to well up in his eyes and talking became difficult with his throat tightening. He was so worried for his mom.
