Owlkit was still buzzing about with the energy of several kits rolled into one, and Deadmoon's eyes were beginning to roll about trying to keep up with all the sharp, darting little movements and startling sneezes. She listened as intently as one could during the explanation, though the logic started to get a bit....sketchy as it went on. No matter though, she was Breezy and that was that. It shouldn't be too hard to remember to respond to that along with her own name, right? Now Owlkit was expounding upon another friend she had, or did have, because few relationships in clan life were certain. Guaranteed. There were many, many chances for cats to be killed or change clans or simply disappear, and then you had no clue where they'd gone. Deadmoon had gone kapoof herself, and seen many of her apprentices (Duckpaw the latest) disappear as well. She'd gotten...mostly used to it, though Rookie's loss was still a fresh wound she tried not to think about. The spot where they'd almost broken through the camp wall still hurt to look at, a reminder of a simple, lighthearted time.
Now, she felt compelled to offer some sort of sympathetic, kind explanation of how cats disappeared but that didn't mean they didn't love you it was just a fact of life and you were still valuable. Unfortunately she was Deadmoon, so it came out as Well, that's how it goes. Cats come into your life and leave you again as easily as breathing. Agh! Abort, abort, abort! That was not a child-friendly sentence (hers rarely were) and now some major damage control was required! I mean, uh.....it's a dangerous world out there. Even the best warriors can get jumped by a badger or coyote, so it's not a reflection on you if something happens to someone. Great, now the poor kid would probably be scared to leave camp. Just fantastic Deadmoon, keep giving Owlkit nightmares for the next moon. @Blaaze

Owlkit's bouncing and trotting had halted for a moment. Aubs let her blue green eyes look up at Breezy in dismay. She wouldn't leave, right? Breezy was ASTOUNDING. IRREPLACABLE. AND VERY VERY ENTERTAINING. What would the big pawed feline DO without Breezy to entertain her and drag her off to a place full of herby smells and cool helpful Calico cats? When she's covered in thorns and has dust in her eyeballs? But Deadmoon's next response had her feel a bit better now. "You 'on't leave though! I'll keep you n windclan!" She chirruped, completely confident the brown pelted feline wouldn't leave her. Aubs then moved on to the next topic. "You're sup'rentertaining n fun n Bigcats busy a lot n youve talk to me two timeses! So y're a good fren'!" Owlkit mewed brightly. "You got friends?" She then asked, as what Breezy had said may have humbled her a bit. Either that or she had tired herself out. She was either sneezing or yawning at this point in her eyes. A big yaaaawn escaped her, but Aubs stayed bouncy and upbeat despite being a bit wore out. She did that a lot, wear herself out.

This was her chance. Maybe Cream could talk her way into WindClan to finally have a home. Cream had a charming voice, and had confidence in every step. This was her only chance, and she had to make this good.
