Okay, the near-warrior apprentice was desperate. His eyes rapidly scanned the clearing for available warriors, perhaps some that have offered him help before, then he spotted a younger warrior. What was it again? Ah- Mudslide! The cat just went through their assessment recently so they would be a good help!
He carefully padded up to the warrior, holding his head higher to try and match their height. He was shorter than most toms his age which was irritating enough, though he was sure he would grow tall. “Excuse me- MudSlide? Could you maybe help me with some hunt training if you’re available?” His voice was filled with hope, partially due to the fact he didn’t want to go find another warrior to ask.

The lean she-cat perked her ears as somecat approached her. Was she starting to look less intimidating as of late? It just seemed the amount of cats who decided to spark conversation with her was spiking. She wasn't sure if she liked that fact. Guessing purely by size, this cat may be a newly appointed apprentice, but who was she to judge. Nocat could control their height, so she just gave the stranger the benefit of the doubt.
"Sure," Mudslide said, her voice as thin as a soft sheet of ice. While they couldn't go outside of camp, some prey were unfortunate enough to make their way inside. Mudslide wasn't sure she'd be the best at explaining things, especially considering she'd never wanted an apprentice in the first place. But, this cat was just asking and he seemed bearable enough.... Until he wasn't.
So, his name was Spiderpaw, pretty short, with a dark pelt. Mudslide would watch out for him, just incase he made the mistake of thinking they were pal's and decided to get all buddy buddy with her. Not a chance.
"Listen," Mudslide urged as she got to a quieter spot in the clearing, as far away from other cats as she could get in the shade of a large tree.

Thank goodness the warrior accepted. He really wasn’t in the mood to approach too many other cats who all seemed busy with warrior stuff. Sheesh…soon that would be him huh? All busy and stuff? The thought of being more independent excited him but it also sounded scary, especially having to go into warrior-hood alone.
When the warrior went to the quieter spot he followed, knowing it was for the best of in-camp hunting. He tried to make sure his paw-steps were almost silent to try and not alert prey. How did- no. He know where his mind would wander if he finished that sentence, then he wouldn’t be able to continue training with a clear head. Okay. He took a deep breath in. Listen? Okay. He could also do that. His ears perked up as he scented the air, his gaze darting around the growth nearby. He suddenly heard a small rustle in the leaves, immediately going into a hunters crouch. He hadn’t hunted in quite a bit, causing some messiness in his form. His legs weren’t quite bent enough and his tail was too high in the air. Small things, but still things he should have caught himself doing wrong. At his age, being as close as he could be the his ceremony, every thought of his was criticism to himself. He let his legs push off the ground and to the bushes by where the animal made sound. He felt his paw land on something then—scurry. It was a mouse and it was trying to run. It was a bit slower per the damage he had already inflicted. He immediately leapt again, aiming to land a bit in front of it but as it ran forwards his paws landed conveniently on the mouse and he made the killing blow.
