Dolomedes (sorry this starter's a bit short)
Brindlepaw was bored. There weren't many warriors to harass for training (and even though he had some experience now he was still a bit embarrassed to ask for relatively basic lessons) and none of the cats he liked were around. He had tried napping, but that had only lasted so long before he got too hot and had to retreat to a shady spot, panting slightly as he tried to cool down. When his temperature came down he was still bored, albeit now more willing to get up and do something. He settled for slinking around the clearing in his hunting crouch, doing his best to keep his movements quiet. After a while his front paws were starting to get tired. He didn't think you normally stayed in the crouch this long, at some point a cat had to pounce on something. So he pounced. Wiggling back on his hindquarters, Brindlepaw launched himself indiscriminately into the air, aiming for height and distance rather than any particular point. Hopefully he didn't go TOO far and hit anyone.
