"May one and all apprentices and kits come! This event is called
the play battle! You will be split into groups at 10:00 am tomorrow
morning, EST! May you start getting ready for the play battle! No
hurting anyone! This is just play! May the best apprentice/kit win!

Peachkit's on the fence about attending until he spies a familiar pair of orange ears bobbing over. Recognition sparks an uncomfortable pang of...something. Something that has the cream tom jogging briskly over to Basilkit like this game is somehow an urgent matter, like suddenly he cares about proving a point.

Snowkit was batting at a leaf that had fallen in the wind when she heard an announcement. She looked up and spied a kit near the center of the clearing. Ooh! a PLAY BATTLE EVENT!! she thought excitedly. She ran towards the group that was forming around the kit, skidding to a halt and pricking her ears. This will be so much fun! I wonder who I will be grouped with? The apprentices might be fun, they could show me some actual battle moves! Then I could use them to be an awesome warrior! She bounced on her paws, excited and eager to start.
