As the meeting ended, Goldfish turned to Marigoldpaw. Mari, as she called her in her mind. Her golden hued eyes focused their ebony pupils upon the molly. "Alright, kitto, we can go ahead and get started on training. I'll take you out for a territory tour, shall we?" She declared. Turning, she headed out of the entrance, expecting Mari to follow. "You... you doing good?" She asked as they headed out of the entrance of camp. "I'm gonna get you nice and trained up as early as possible, and you'll be a fine warrior, I'm sure of it." The Ace of Spades flashed her newfound apprentice a smile.

The she-cat was practically buzzing with excitement, her fur shooting up at the ends as if lighting had struck her. Well, maybe that was an exaggeration, but Marigoldpaw didn't have a good way of describing it. She just felt so full yet so empty, so excited yet so so so scared. She wanted or had planned to explore territory with Minkpaw. She had promised. Then she didn't. Not that it was her fault anyways, she had her reasons. Life wasn't just supposed to stop even though Minkpaw was in Shadowclan now, and apparently, she'd received a few blows from Fadingsun... GAH- Fadingstar. No need to think on that, she had much more important matters to get to. A territory tour being one of them.
She was still caught in thought as Speckles (Goldfish) walked through the camp entrance. The calling of her voice snapped her out of her daze. She blinked slowly before her eyes widened, a hue of crimson tinting her cheeks. "Yeah, yeah! Sorry, I was uh thinking. I'll be there! Wait a moment!" She scurried after her, her rough paw pads making odd scraping sounds on the rocks below.
"You really think so?" Marigoldpaw asked once she was finally at Speckles side, having to walk two times faster than her mentor to properly keep pace.

Goldfish was overly pleased at Mari's excitement. None of her previous apprentices had been this excited. Perhaps this was a sign that the white and pale brown molly would be a good apprentice. She paused to wait for Marigoldpaw, grinning. At her question, Goldfish nodded earnestly. "Of course! You're obviously quite eager to learn, so heck I'm gonna train you!" She purred as they continued walking. Goldfish slowed her pace slightly. Nope, no thoughts of She- Seakit. Just a little training. A little territory tour. "So as you can see, we're in the mountains. So it's obviously pretty rocky here. Watch out for any sharp stones." She mewed, looking around. As they passed a small stream outside of camp, she motioned toward it, "Swimming lessons will have to wait for a little while. That waters not too deep. Anyways, keep a lookout for any Landmarks so you know where you're going. It'll take time to memorize, but you'll get used to it, don't worry." She glanced at the sky briefly. She didn't talk for a little while, scouting the area to make sure everywhere was safe. "See that tree? Thats where I put the hares on my last hunting patrol. Perhaps I'll teach you to climb sometime, hmm?" The tortoiseshell molly purred. "Keep an eye out for Predators as well. Hawks, owls, maybe cougars... Dangerous animals, in other words." She assured. After a while, she noted they'd reach the border of their territory soon, their temporary territory.

The compliments were unexpected but greatly appreciated. Marigoldpaw quickly became flustered, not sure how to deal with the sudden praise. Not only was she allegedly going to be a great warrior, but she was also special. Speckles claimed that she'd never had an apprentice this eager. Marigoldpaw initially thought her sentence was going to pan out into a backhanded compliment, but she was pleasantly surprised. Her fur prickled with thanks, avoiding her mentors gaze as she did with all cats. "Oh wow, really? Gee, thanks! Thanks so much! You have no idea what that means to me. I've gotta get your something, don't I? Yeah, like a few trinkets." Marigoldpaw's mind began to wonder as she thought about what she could gift Speckles with. She didn't know if there were any pretty things here, but she'd try.
Sharp stones? Alright, she'd steer clear of those. "Yeah. I'd hate to give the medicine cats anymore trouble." Marigoldpaw winced as she remembered the scarred and injured warriors from the recent battle. They looked horrible. Perhaps a few scraped paws would be nothing compared to that, but Marigoldpaw doubted they'd appreciate the busy work.
Alright, Marigoldpaw, think! If you just so happened to scrape your paws, how would you fix it? She answered herself almost immediately, almost record making accuracy! Then I'd find some moss, on a rock. Which should be easy, there's plenty around here. Clean it then use cobwebs to patch it. Yup! She was totally prepared for a life or death situation! But uh, life better not throw one at her.
Oh thank the stars, no swimming! Yay! Marigoldpaw tried to hide the pure relief on her face, but she was never good at masking her expression. Okie, landmarks. She could remember those, she had too.
Oh, trees? Marigoldpaw followed Speckles gaze. She looked at the tree for a long while and responded to her purr with a wide grin. "I'd love that." She managed, tearing her eyes away from the large mass of wood as Speckles pointed out the dangers of being on the mountains. She had eaten a hawk before so she knew how big they were. They had large talons and hooked beaks. Marigoldpaw was certainly going to watch out for those, one could probably swoop down and pick her up if they really wanted to. A cold sweat headed onto her forehead. No. No. Everything was fine. Speckles wouldn't let her get hurt.
"SO," she began, her voice cracking horribly. "Do you know what landmarks we might be adding? I wanna get to know this place like the back of my paw just incase I fall and have to climb my way up. Sorry, that was graphic. It was just uh, a possibility. I don't think I'm gonna crash and die, y'know I'd rather not. But uh, just incase."

Goldfish smiled softly at Marigoldpaw as she offered a gift. She shook her head, still smiling. "You don't have to." She purred, but couldn't help but feel pleased at the offer. As they stopped at the tree, she glanced over at Mari. Wow, Goldfish herself hadn't even thought about that. Well, she trusted herself not to. But it seemed like Marigoldpaw was uncertain. Resting her Tail on the patterned apprentice's shoulders, her gaze was steady, but the cheery, carefree nature still shone through her expression. "You want to be prepared. I like that. But, I want to go ahead and point out the fact that I won't let that happen, as long as I'm here." After a moment, she paused, thinking. "tell you what," She decided, "I'm not sure what landmarks Will be added, so as we go along we can point out memorable things and give them names. So that if starsforbid something happens, it'll be easy to tell where you are exactly. Besides, it's a fun way to pass the time. We're naming landmarks!" A casual grin found its way on her maw again as she paused to look at the tree. "What would you like to call this tree? That's a landmark to remember. It's not too hard to remember, I don't think." The dappled warrior stared long and hard at the tree, trying to think of a solid name. No, she'd let Maei decide. Get her mind off the bad thoughts.

Well, if there was one way Marigoldpaw could describe Speckles, it was that she was petty good at easing her nerves. She wondered if she was like that for everycat she knew. Regardless, Marigoldpaw found a good amount of comfort in her carefree nature. "Yeah, I know you'll keep me safe." She smiled, her ears perking up with her positive grin. It seemed Speckles had rejected the possibility of a gift from her. Not that it was like she hated the idea. Hm... Maybe Marigoldpaw could surprise her one of these days.
Hazle eyes staggered from Speckles back to the tree, thinking for a moment. Marigoldpaw fancied herself as being pretty creative, so it didn't take long for her to come up with something. "What about Green Claws? Kinda sounds dangerous... Hm, High Thrush? Blooming Vine? Are these names too long? Gah, that's a lot of questions. I do think they sound pretty nice though, well besides the first one maybe. That one's kinda odd. But hey, I'm happy for any! All is good, yep yep." Marigoldpaw expressed genuinely with a light nod.
"I'm sure you have better ideas though," Marigoldpaw shuffled around, kicking a few loose rocks from paw to paw. "Is there anywhere else to go? Not that I'm upset or anything, my paws aren't very used to... This." She gestured at the environment around her, feeling quite out of place. She then looked back up to her mentor, her gaze far off despite having Goldfish mainly in her sights. "You seem to be adjusting quite well. Good for you!"
