Pondpaw bounded throughout ShadowClan Territory at Tuftedtusk's side, pawsteps pattering against the soft, tender earth beneath her feet.

''Could we possibly start with some combat skills?'' The mottled, blue-gray mackerel tabby circled her mentor with enthusiasm as they reached the training hollow. ''I'd like to show some moves I came up with myself..''

During her short time as a loner, Pondpaw had taught herself a couple of Battle Moves she had deemed somewhat useful. ''One of them is an advanced move for fighting badgers, but it will work with cats, too,'' The Young apprentice explained, voice bright. ''I came up with a move called the Hold and Enemy Collapse, as well.''

The tom padded beside his apprentice, eyes glowing at her enthusiam. He was also full of pride himself. He's now a ShadowClan enforcer. He wanted it so bad and he got it. He was so proud and shocked at once.

With a loud, rumbling purr he gazed at Pondpaw. "If you'd like, we can. I would like to go over some basics like the front paw blow first and then we can move on to more complicated moves if you'd like."

With that, they reached a clearing of sorts and he turned around. "Alrighty, come at me first. Let's see what you got."

A loud purr rumbled in Pondpaw's throat.

''Thank youuuu!'' The she-cat squealed and bounced on her paws. She ran towards a nearby evergreen and crouched beneath it, making sure that she was out of Tuftedtusk's line of sight.

[ Pondpaw rolled a 20! ]

After a couple minutes of waiting, the former RiverClanner shot from the bushes and bowled into the ShadowClan Enforcer, using her forepaws to bat at Tuftedtusk's muzzle and her hind paws to gently pummel at his belly. It was their first day of training, and she didn't want to hurt him.

Pondpaw leapt off of him, landing gracefully on all four paws on a patch of grass nearby. The mottled, blue-gray she-cat gave a wave of her plumy tail. ''How was that?''

TUFTED ROLLED A 17

The tom waited for her. With surprising speed, the plumy apprentice bowled into him, batting at his muzzle and back paws churning at his belly. He purred as she hopped off him. "Wonderfully."

With a speed most wouldn't expect from a cat his size, he darted forward, nudging her roughly, but not so hard to hurt her, aiming to bowl her onto her side or back. If he succeded, he would land on her and cuff her on her head and dart back.

The she-cat was faster than expected. Pondpaw quickly swung to the side, just barely managing to avoid her mentor's attack.

The ShadowClanner crouched and sprung, attempting to land on his back to hold him in place.

The tom whirled around to spot her, but before he could, she landed on his back and grasped his flanks with soft paws and held on tight. He would now attempt a tricker move. Quickly, he would lay down and attempt to squash Pondpaw under his back, hopefully allowing her to release him. If he succeeded, he would rise to his paws and crouch down, ready for another attack attempt.

Mind Reader has been ACTIVATED.

Seeing the clear intentions on Tuftedtusk's facial expression, Pondpaw quickly jumped out of the way, letting the tom crush air in underneath him.

As he lay on the ground, the Enforcer's apprentice took advantage and raced forward, attempted a front paw strike at his face, claws sheathed so she wouldn't hurt him.

[ OH DAMN HE GOT IT WOOO! ]

The tom felt his back slam on empty air, but just as quickly he flipped out of the way of Pondpaw's strike and darted foward, aiming to flip her over his back and have her slam onto the ground.

She was a good fighter. He was surprised. Though inwardly, he was proud. ShadowClan would have another strong warrior in their ranks.

Pondpaw let out a yelp as she landed on the ground with a harsh thud. The mackerel tabby's ears instantly lay pinned flat against her head, tail between her legs.

Pondpaw struggled to get back to her paws. Once she had, she had to hold her hind leg off the ground. If she tried to put weight on it, she winced.

Tuftedtusk was at her side the moment she yelped, sniffing her leg and gently licking her forehead. "Oh my stars.. I'm sorry. Are you alright, Pondpaw?" He murmured, eyes wide with worry.

His tail swished anxiously. He hoped he hadn't hurt her and that she had just jarred her leg and they needed a break. Maybe they could get to know each other?

"Would you like to lay down and maybe chat and get to know each other better? Maybe that could help us train better? Not sure though."
