The pale kitten was still adjusting to the rude awakening, squeezing her eyes shut for a moment and then opening them wide. Her sister began speaking again, and Cottonkit swivelled her head towards her, listening intently despite her--thankfully now wavering--exhaustion.
A new game, Havenkit said. Clan leader. The game sounded interesting the more Cottonkit listened to the basic explanation. She'd be the leader, and Havenkit would be a warrior, and they would do basic clan-cat stuff, except Cottonkit was in charge. "Like Bumblestar?" She mewed. Cottonkit didn't see the Thunderclan leader around a lot, due to being confined to the nursery for the most part, but she heard whispers and she knew the name. "Um... sure, why not? I'll play."
Cottonkit puffed out her chest, adjusting her paws and sitting up tall and straight. She took in a deep-breath, repeating a mantra in her head: What would Bumblestar do? What would Bumblestar do? But nothing came to her. "Uhhh..." She hummed to herself. "Okay, um, Haven... Wait, what would your warrior name be? Or would I have to decide since I'm supposed to be the leader? Oh--and also does that mean you'll call me Cottonstar?" She needed just a tiny bit of info before they could start playing Havenkit's leader-warrior game. Cottonkit wanted to get it perfect!
Havenkit giggled a little at Cottonkit's stature. This was perfect! Her puffed out chest and good posture made her look exactly like a leader... She thinks. Though she watches the other cats a lot, Bumblestar's more of a mystery to her. All she knows is that the leader tells all the other cats what to do, and the other cats get to fight and hunt and patrol. The leaders the best at all of that though! That's why they were chosen, obviously.
Havenkit got up with a small huff and circled around Cottonkit, her eyes narrowed in thought. With a twitch of her whiskers, she reached out a paw and pushed her sister's tail a little closer to her paws. There! She sat back and purred in satisfaction.
"Yeah, you get to be Cottonstar! And I'll be... Um..." She paused, staring off into the distance. She noticed the light filtering through the trees, painting the grass a bright, saturated lime green. Flowers could be seen in full bloom, their petals and leaves reaching up towards the light. Leaves... "Havenleaf! I'll be Havenleaf. Your leader duties don't start until the game does! And if you have any questions, I can answer them! I know a lot about this stuff!" She mewed, puffing her own chest out a bit.

COTTONKIT a fluffy, white kit with light brown 'freckles'
Cottonkit twitched as her sister fixed her tail, but otherwise she remained almost statuesque, barely moving as her sister determined her warrior name and explained that Cottonkit didn't have to start playing as Cottonstar until the game started. The kit nodded, took a few breaths, and let her thoughts slip into--what she percieved to be--the mindset of a leader.
"Havenleaf," She announced, drawing out her voice in a regal manner. She put a paw to her chest and adopted a ridiculously dramatic expression. "Our dear medicine cat, healy-mc-healer, was unfortunately eaten by a badger! You are the only warrior I can trust to take down this terrible monster, so I ask that you come with me to destroy this beast and get our revenge!" Now she'd jumped up to her paws, tail lashing as she let herself become one with the game.
The took a step to the right, then put her other paw to the left, so she was standing wide with her head tilted partially upwards. "You see, Starclan came to me in my dreams," The girl continued, eyes wide as she looked up for a moment. Then, she tilted her head down to the ground, pawing the dirt beneath her. "They said to me...uh--You have lost your medicine cat, and we are angry! Angry at the beast that would dare take down our--uh--conduit!"
Cottonkit stalked towards her sister. Her expression was serious, but the corners of her eyes and maw wriggled with the threat of laughing at any moment. She took a serious breath and continued. "And then they said: you must find a warrior you can trust. One who you're connected to through blood!" And then, for a moment, she snapped out of the game. "Wait, can we still be sisters? Or are you just a warrior and I'm a random leader?" This whole prophecy that Cottonkit was making up kind of required Havenleaf to be Cottonstar's sister, so hopefully Havenkit would say yes to them still being sisters in this little role-play.
Bursting into the kitten den, Poppypaw wobbled around happily. "Hellooooooooooo, Poppy will clean your nests, mhm!"
She announced happily, on the hunt for old dirty nests (she has no idea how to make a nest but she would surely figure it out now)!
Weepinggale opened her eyes, left to listen to the soft scuffling of paws and soft fur brushing over her nose. How odd... she could've sworn she'd woken. Must her dreams always be about scuffling...?
She then actually opened her eyes, as before they were mere slits. Oh! How dare she assume this was bad scuffling ... for it was just Havenkit and Cottonkit.
"Good morning, my darlings,"
Weeping's voice was wispy. She yawned, proving to herself that she was still tired, even though she was a little bit more than freshly awake. She guided her eyes outside the den, overhearing bits of the kittens' conversation.
"It really is lovely,"
Weepinggale said almost longingly, as if she too wanted to get out into camp. Though she was still tired and moving her in this state would be a bad idea. But nonetheless, if her kits made a request she'd fulfill it. That was different then any kind passion she might have. Maybe it was her lack of motive towards her own goals, or perhaps just that her motive was stronger for that of her kits.
"Why don't we all go take a walk outside? The nursery is getting kind of stuffy..."
This was her simple excuse to make herself get up. Ugh! You can't breathe, you're miserable! Is what she tried to get her brain to tell her, but she stayed, barely awake. Could Weepinggale trust the outside to her kits? Oh, they had their father. She didn't worry much further from there and shut her eyes once again. Only to reopen them as her anxiety grew.

Almond woke up on this lovely morning, she looked down to see basilkit
cuddled up to her fast asleep, she didn't dare to get up when her precious
baby is asleep. She looked around at the other queens, she saw some kits
playing around, the kits always made her day, but she has her own kit now,
that can make her day every single day for the rest of her life. She knew
that she would protect this kiddo for the rest of her lifetime. she loved her.
She closed her eyes to rest, next thing she knew she was being woken up by
basilkit. "Mom! Mom! Wake up! I want some milk!!" She yelled that
loud enough for the whole clan to hear. "Hey, hey, use your inside voice
little one." she said as she licked the top of basil's head.
"Mom, can i go to play with cottonkit?" This surprised AlmondBay,
her kit finally has a friend! "Sure honey I'll go with you"
Almondbay walked with Basilkit over to the other queen, weepinggale. "Hey weepinggale. Basilkit wants to play with ur kits!"
Basilkit walked over to havenkit and cottonkit. "Hey guys! wanna
play? I have a moss ball!" the kit said as she pushed the moss ball
towards them.
He walked out of the warriors den, he needed to see his kits,
so he walked to the nursery, to see his mate, and his kits, he
was relieved to see them all together, he walked over to his
mate, weepinggale.
"Hey honey, how are the kits doing?" he said as he touched
noses with his mate. He layed down beside her.
Oh, to be bored!
Once again, Whitekit laid in the nursery, with nothing to do but stay in camp.
StarClan, why was camp so boring!
Why couldn’t he let the rest of the territory bask in his glory yet!?
Oh, the way he couldn’t wait to be an apprentice so he could grace others with his presence.
