Memory riddled with holes, Merlin is a cat in the Atari with many rumors and speculation going around about him and his capabilities. It isn't a secret that he once had a brother, a sister and a mother that he was very close to, nor is it a secret that he followed the three of them into the forest one evening several moons ago, only to return alone, carrying the corpses of his sister and mother on his back, pelt covered in blood, ear torn... and his brother no where to be found.
There were questions, of course, but Merlin was unable to answer them with any real certainty or accuracy. He had simply forgotten. That afternoon had completely slipped his mind (likely a trauma response, Mumble had told him, but it still answered no questions). Not long after this, he and the Initiate he had taken semi-charge of, Lethal, had a run in with some apparently tail-hungry coyotes, and each lost their tails in that fight.
Although physically recovered now, Merlin still has the gap in his memory and a vague feeling of wrongness that plagued him - more so than usual.
LOOKING FOR:
Friends - limited to one or two spots
Cats wary of him after what it's assumed he did
Romantic interest (potentially - Merlin is in his early 30s and will very likely end up gay, though i'm open to him being bi as well)

[ @Neptune. ] - i have orion for a friend or romantic interest perhaps? he’s drawn to mystery and very enigmatic himself, full personality linked in my signature. he wouldn’t prod about merlin’s past, but he’d definitely be fascinated by him and offer unhelpful unsolicited abstract advice haha.

i am intrigued ÒvÓ i think they might work pretty well as friends !! just two dudes who Don't Say Much but when they do one's cryptic as hell and the other is just stating a fact LMAO
