Seeing that Thrushkit had padded over, Firepelt clutched the mothball in her paws and tossed it to him. The crowd of cats around her was getting kind of overwhelming, so she went to sit on a large stone off to the side of the others.

Mosquitokit also has to take to the sidelines for the game of mossball; he'a only played a few games so far, like pretend and such, and mossball seems like it'd be embarrassing to mess up at. So he doesn't want to engage until he's sure he won't do anything stupid, like trip over his own paws or bap somebody in the face by mistake.

Instead of the game, he turns focus to the new face that's meandered over to the group.

"Hi Shadypaw!" Mosquitokit chirps. "Um. I'm Mosquitokit. An' that's uh, Snarlingkit, an' I think he's Lionflop, there, an' uh...." Mosquitokit hadn't caught anyone else's names yet, but he was sure he would eventually. With a twitchy litte shrug, he continued: "They're playin' mossball. But you could prob'ly...already tell. Sorry. Hi though! Again,"

Oceanclaw noticed Shadypaw and Mosquitokit talking, and flicked the mossball at them. Should I go say hi? He thought. I don't want to be unfriendly.

Mosquitokit! Hi! Shadypaw said nervously, scrambling over his words. He then saw a mossball flying at him, and ducked, not knowing what to do. Look out! Shadypaw called to Mosquitokit.
