You start getting koins the second you join the site! You can receive them from:

• Making a post (more words = more koins)
• Having a birthday
• Referring a new user to the site
• Winning a lottery, held by the staff team every now and again
• Site transactions, for example for selling a good or service like art commissions
• Participating in site events
