Honeypaw hadn't been doing anything in particular when she heard Crowtooth's voice so she approached. A game? That sounds fun! Listening to the rules, Honeypaw sat and picked her fifteen pebbles and waited for her clanmates to arrive and to begin the game.

SilverFur would tilt her head thinking Crowtooth had finally lost it. Well least if she was doing this then she couldn't be sent back on apprentice duties. She would smile and help herself slowly to the fifteen pebbles allowed. "You're going to need more pebbles" she would chuckle. "So if you have the most pebbles are you leader for the day?"

She would glance at the options on offer and then flick her tail. "All pebbles on cloud. Prepare to give me more pebbles"

Vinepaw heard crowtooth from afar and padded up there was already a few cats gathered around and he was curious hmm pebbles ah this looked like fun he saw lightning paw and leopard paw along with honeypaw maybe most apprentices were doing this hm he decided to join

✥ Victoria amat curam, victory demanded dedication and that is simply what flooded the young already laurel crowned kits veins with every beat of her little heart. Creamy tipped mitten paws pranced on the clearing earth as she gathered together only the prettiest of pebbles, eventually she would wind up with someone else’s second rate choices but that was life, not everyone sought out nothing but perfect with ease as she did. Laurelkit gathered together her fifteen and gathered them in her mouth as she had seen another kit do… she would have done it anyway… she had not - let me repeat - not taken inspiration from those who existed amongst the plebeians. Once the painted calico was satisfied with the pile of what she could only hope was fifteen pebbles… what was this fifteen they spoke of… but of course she had figured it out and had gathered just the right amount to a T and she plopped down with her marbled tail wagging to and fro as her verdant and oceanic hues turned to watch Crowtooth who was going to make her even more of a victor.

Once again here came Silverfur to ruin everyones good time. You'd think by know the molly knew to stop putting her paw in her mouth and shut up so more cats didnt see her for the fool she was proving herself to be. But no, she kept talking.

For now Crowtooth ignored her, passing out pebbles to all who came until everyone had been prioritized, leaving her.
"Ah Vixenkit yer Rabbitpaws siblin'? I didnt know! If yer anythin' like him yer gonna be a blessin' ta yer mentor Ill tell ya that much!

Such a serious face Laurelkit! Gotta wonder where ya got it wit' yer parents, good luck kiddo!

Bettin' aint started yet Warmsun, hold yer horses but Ill keep that in mind~"
And so on.


Then and only then the tom faced the demoted warrior with a scoff.
"Silverfur are yer ears as poor as yer personality? Or are ya just chronically unable ta listen ta anything but yer own voice. I aint said nothin' about leadin' the clan fer the day, I aint the leader an' dont have authority ta do that. Nor would I, too much a risk that a cat like you could get any authority an' end up killin' the entire damn clan. You, leader fer a day what a joke. An' if ya listen ya know we were just gatherin' pebbles, Ive not yet opened bettin'."
If she ruined the event or kept kicking up a fuss then Crowtooth would boot her so fast he swore. She was on such thin ice with the ranks of this clan for repeated incidents no one would blame him.

Facing the rest of the group Crowtooth was back to smiles and snagged the mouse from its hole, showing the prey.

"Alright all ya got yer pebbles! Place yer bets! How many pebbles ya putting on Cloud, Pinecone, Feather, an' Shell! An' remember, ya can even place bets on multiple burrows! Once the bets are down Ill release the mouse!

Anyone comin' in late dont ya worry! Just grab yer 15 pebbles an' place yer bet quickly!"

Whisperinghive yawned and padded over to listen to Crowtooth. He shook out his marigold-orange pelt and gathered up the fifteen pebbles and sat down with them at his paws. The tom needed something to do, so this was a great distraction. With a nudge of his paw, Whisperinghive set aside 3 pebbles for the cloud. "Three for the cloud, please." He said.
