As Springlight explained what was going to happen, fear burst through the young apprentice. This sounded scary. Before he knew it, the Medicine Cat was chewing his leg off.
crack.
A yowl of pain emerged from his lungs, biting on the stick as hard as he could. Tears streamed out of his eyes as the calico molly wrapped up his leg, no, stub. The brown tabby glanced down, seeing what was left of his leg. Just a stub. Wincing as the medicine cat spoke to him once more, he gave her a breif nod. "T-Thank you," he croaked out, laying his head down to rest. He peered open one of his green eyes, flickering around before falling on Wolfhive. "W-Wolfhive. C-Could you get m-mama f-for me? I-I want mama," he whimpered curling up into a ball as he slowly drifted off.

It wasn't the first time that she felt like something was wrong. She didn't know what it was, but it made her feel absurdly uncomfortable. The medicine cat found herself pacing, the sun’s golden rays barely shimmering within the crooked entrance of the medicine den. Drizzlecloud hasn't been around for quite some time, and the calico found herself feeling overly anxious on her paws. Where could she be? She hadn't been in the medicine den since… she had no idea. If she had to start soloing out specific alignments for cats, she would. Springlight’s thoughts raced, only for them to come to a close as she heard frantic pawsteps approach her den. Her ears pricked up, and she turned to see a cat rushing into the medicine den with a convulsing Tremblepaw along their back. Her heart nearly skipped a beat seeing the apprentice’s state. Violent tremors could be a sign of serious conditions, and there was no time to lose. Rising to her paws, the calico weaved her way over towards the apprentice, being careful to not worsen the spasms as she eyed the uncontrollable tremors convulsing through his body. It wasn't anything that she had dealt with before, and she knew that she would need to try to do this as quickly as possible before she risked losing a patient on her paws. “Give us… some space.” She ordered the cat who brought the apprentice into the den, leaning down towards Tremblepaw as she carefully rubbed a paw along his side, trying to ease him while she observed.
“Don’t worry… I’m here… I am… going to… help you… just try to… breathe… slowly and… stay as… still as you can.” She doubted he could hear her, but it was all that she could do in this kind of situation. What she needed at the moment was lavender, chamomile, and bring Tremblepaw to a nest after the fit was over so he could properly rest. Grimacing, the calico quickly stood and stepped out of the den, scanning the clearing before calling out to a random warrior. “Webstripe! I need… you to… come here… as soon as possible!” She would have much preferred to collect the herbs herself if she withstood the chance to do so, but she needed to keep a close eye on Tremblepaw in case his convulsions got worse to the point it could turn lethal and kill him.

Webstripe was hanging out in the clearing, taking a day to relax. The tom bathed in the sunlight until he heard an urgent call for his name, coming from the directon of the medicine den. Quickly, the black an white tom hurried over. As soon as he entered the den, he spotted Tremblepaw and Springlight above him, an instant realization hit the older tom. "What do you need?" he asked, voice laced with worry for the young apprentice.

The medicine cat was deep in concentration, meticulously sorting through her herb storage when a small, high-pitched mew caught her attention. She turned to see a tiny kit stumbling into the den, her eyes wide with curiosity and enticement as she meticulously asked the herbalist when she may become an apprentice. The calico found her lips pursing forward briefly, her ears pressing against her head. A wave of irritation washed over her; the medicine den was no place for kits to be wandering around aimlessly, potentially disrupting her careful organization or even endangering themselves by getting into the wrong herbs. She hadn’t had any problems with kits getting into the wrong things before, but she wasn’t having any problems with kits causing trouble no matter the circumstances. Even if Olivekit was just innocently asking a simple question, she wasn’t going to be taking chances. With a sharp sigh exhaling out her nostrils, the medicine cat stepped forward and aimed towards the entrance of the den with her tail. “Out.” She ordered, her voice sharp and laced with annoyance. “The medicine den… isn’t a place… to be… wandering around in… it can… be dangerous… only come in… here when… you are… older… or if… you are… feeling unwell.” If it would take a minute or an hour to get the kit to understand the importance of the situation, she would wait until she left or assist a warrior to grab a queen to take Olivekit away. She wasn’t in any mood for games.

Suddenly, as if they never occurred in the first place, the tremors stopped. His body was still for a second. Not a whisker of his twitched. His half-lidded eyes blinked to life and he flicked a light ginger ear. He generously lifted his head, the rest of his body slowly following in pursuit. "Hey, what's going on?" He mumbled, half-amused, "I was in a clearing before this. Where am I?" His squeaky voice assisted his spinning mind in a quest for answers, "I...I was training before this. With Salmonshade. Am I... in the medicine den?" As if it were a monster, the realization struck him all at once. His ears flattened with shame, "It was another one of them, wasn't it? One of the shakes?"

Larkswoop entered the den with caution, padding over to Silverpaw’s nest quietly. “Hey, Silvs,” She purred softly, crouching down beside her former apprentice. “Thought I would tell you something. I have spoken with Bumblestar, and although I won’t be allowed to mentor you again, she’s allowing me to help you with your training. As far as I know, she’ll be sticking you with Mudhound, as he has more experience on three legs than I do.”
