Closed Cats and art?

Howdy sooo getting to the point what is the limitation of cats and making art? Though I don't mean like painting or drawing, or even art that they would be able to label as 'art' because as cats they wouldn't really understand what that is. I mean messing around with nature and seeing what comes of it. Such as for example: "Forager wiggled the flat rock into the sun, then trotted over to the nearby stream and dug out some of the mud around it. Coming back they set the pawful of mud and retrieved more until they were happy. Then taking the plentiful flowers they had already grabbed and put into neat piles beside them, they began to place each flower into the mud until eventually you couldn't see the mud anymore. or at least, not very much of it. Now they just had to let the sun dry it out and the flowers would stay and look pretty." More so just messing around and seeing what works within the confines of having no thumbs and nature. Obviously nothing too advanced but I see it as art all the same.

TLDR; can cats have basic basic basic forms have art?

That's a great idea! I could see this being used for rudimentary maps and things, and kits could probably make art in the mud too!
