Mallowpaw hadn't been waiting long when a voice broke through the silence. Mallowpaw stood up to face Daylightwing as she emerged through the fog, and her eyes were immediately drawn to the stump of her leg. Like Mudhound, she managed to hunt and fight on three legs. Probably better than the apprentice could on four.

Forcing herself to draw her eyes away from the stump, Mallowpaw smiled at Daylightwing. "Yeah," she mewed. She doesn't look much older than me. Thirteen or fourteen moons, maybe. How long had she been a warrior for? I might still be an apprentice when I'm her age, Mallowpaw thought, but she pushed the thought away. The sun hadn't even fully risen yet; she had the rest of the day to get through. She couldn't let her fears consume her.

Seems that Webstripe was a tad late for the patrol he was assigned to. Yellow Bells and Juniper Berries, seemed easy enough to collect. The black and white tabby tom trotted over to Hawkcatcher, dipping his head. "Apologies for the delay. Let's head on out, you can lead," the tom said calmly, flicking his tail as a sign for his clanmate to take the lead.

It's that time again. With a huff, Spiderthroat made his way towards the UnderCrag, finding a decently sized rock to stand on before clearing his throat.

"Gather around for patrols! You all know the drill, hear your name, get it done, come back." he said waiting for a decent number of cats to listen before going on.

"First up. Daylightwing ( @Ladiebugg ) Almondtuft ( @Hollyheart of thunder ) , an' Firepaw ( @Starphobia ), you lot are checkin out the Tunderglade. Catch what you can an bring it back."

"Next we got..." a pause and a sigh came from the tom before continuing "Mudhound ( @Rani ) , Redhawk ( @taillow ) an' Snakefang ( @Seamrog ) go see what Smallpines is lookin like. Once again bring back any prey you can. Don't engage with anyone if there's anyone lingerin. Just shoo them off." two Hornets and a warrior should be decent for a RiverClan border check. Call him anxious.

"Myself, Raggedear ( @JellyCat ) an Dapplepaw ( @chrysanthemum.petals ) will be headed to Herondive Hollow... we get there, catch what we can and head out. No need to linger I don't want them even angrier at me any more than they are."

"Finally I got Hawkcatcher ( @Luminous ) Acorntuft ( @constellation ) an' Dawnpaw ( @Silverfur & Co ) go hunt in the general territory. Good practice excersice...make sure there ain't nothin goin on.

A pause as he waited for them to find one another. Keeping an eye out for his own group. "No lollygaggin make sure to do your best yadda yadda you all know what to do! No slackin!"

Dawnpaw nodded and went to find her mentor and acorntuft. She was excited and ready to go first battle training and now hunting.

OOooooh patrol!! Patrol with Redhawk! And a poor poor third wheel Snakefang, but that was beside the point. Downright prancing up the tripod was in full butt wiggle, happy at the outing AND the fact that there was basically no chance it was ruined by fighting now that riverclan was gone. They could all just have fun!!!

Right, so it was time for a patrol. Snakefang felt under pressure not to screw this up, her last patrol…well it had kinda been a disaster. And she knew that if she failed at this again, she’d have to go back to apprentice duties for a while. Aside from the pressure to do this right, she also felt…very tired. For some reason, she hadn’t been sleeping very well since the battle against RiverClan, it wasn’t as if she had any severe injuries. Okay her ear was a little torn, but that fish she fought left with far worse injuries!

"Right, I'm here…" She said, yawning at the end as she made her way over to Mudhound, it seemed Redhawk wasn’t here yet. Mudhound seemed like one of those cats who was always very happy and…loud. Well, at least they’ll keep me awake. Snakefang thought with a chuckle.

Hearing her name being called out, the large warrior trotted over to the patrols, but frowned when she also heard one of her apprentices get assigned on the hunting patrol. Alright, well it was in the main territory, meaning no advanced techniques would be needed, but Dawnpaw had still not had her hunting lesson since Hawkcatcher had wanted to start with basic battle training and self-defence after the territory tour, but she supposed this would have to do as the first hunting lesson.

She found her apprentice quickly in the crowd, and since Acorntuft hadn't shown up yet, she turned to Dawnpaw to take advantage of the moment before they headed out. "Well, it will be a different kind of hunting lesson for you, at least the basics. When stalking prey, you should crouch down like so." She demonstrated. "Make sure you get low enough to not be seen, and engage your hip and shoulders so that you're able to move your paws despite being so close to the ground. Make sure you muzzle, belly, or tail doesn't brush against anything to alert the prey of where you are, and watch your step since a dry twig snapping under your paw will most certainly give you away."
