"Crowbreeze!" She said with a purr, though there was also worry in her tone.
"Their names are Ravenkit, Goosekit and Magpiekit." Cranewhisper said gently "You should rest, you can see them properly tomorrow."
A little more stern now.
Her mate was clearly wobbly, and possibly about to pass out any second.

Honeykit blinks awake to the sunshine in his face, and yawns into a groggy squeak. He looks up at the other kits, trying to work out what's going on from his nest. He stretches slowly and looks at the kits chattering, purring a low noise of curious confusion.

Maggotkit stares at Frogkit a moment. It's never really given its name much consideration beyond the faint understanding that, to some, it's a bit of an unpleasant one. It's heard Whiterabbit murmuring drowsy justifications for it once or twice, sounding almost embarrassed of her own decision; but never embarrassed enough to change it. Which is fine. Maggotkit doesn't need a new name. That would feel like putting on someone else's fur, or wearing their face over its own.

It just can't imagine ever being anyone but Maggot.

"Okay," it whispers after a moment as Frogkit gets cozy, laying her head down. After some thought, it decides that it's happy she likes its name. It feels good to know that. Pleased to the brink of smugness, Maggotkit gives its attention back over to Morningkit, who has finished disclosing The Morningkit Story.

"The smallest and the weakest," it echoes pensively, staring very hard at Morningkit with one of those wide-eyed, empty looks it specilizes in. "I don't think you're the smallest and the weakest. It's okay. Even if you are, that's okay, too. There's nothing bad about that." Maggotkit isn't great at offering comfort to others but it feels compelled to try, some, now. It has a friend who was 'abandoned', which is when somebody doesn't want you around so much that they leave you on purpose. Lots of cats get abandoned in stories, which makes it one of those bad things that is sometimes secretly sometimes a good thing; heroes who don't have a lot always wind up getting it later, because Starclan wants to make sure everything is fair. This is what's been explained to Maggotkit.

"Come to the elders when we visit. Fit yourself in. I will help, okay? You have to. When you're bigger you'll get a mentor to make you strong, so listen. Listen good to them. You won't be small or weak or lonely for forever but you gotta work hard first." Maggotkit instructs, soft but insistent. "I will help." It repeats, leaning its weight to one side to use Frogkit as a chin-rest.

normal to maggotkit but Frogkit liked them secretly,

Morningkit gazed at Frogkit with a mischievous expression but didn’t speak, quickly changing her mischievous look to a friendly smile. Thank you.. I’ll try to head off that way. I honestly was hoping to see if I could find a warrior in particular I wanted as a mentor but I haven’t really been out and about like others, as I mentioned. She mewed, once again disappointed, but a hopeful glow in her eyes. Also, thanks for the gesture, but you really don’t have to help.
Morningkit was feeling.. What was it..? Frustrated. She hated it when others would feel pity for her. She didn’t need someone to act sweet or feel bad. But that’s besides the point…
And you should’ve seen my litter. They were so much bigger than I ever got. I was so small, I couldn’t even look over a short blade of grass. She remembered her siblings teasing her for being so tiny, even getting tossed around by them when they were playing. She turned to Maggotkit, interest burning in her pelt. Your turn! She squeaked, sitting up.

Honeykit sits up at the approach of the Kit. He cleans his throat and almost too loudly speaks. "Honeykit. Because of my pelt I'd guess.." He tilts his head "have you just woken up too?"

Frogkit looked at maggotkit, she wanted it to speak about it's life, hopefully
Frogkit didn't have to speak. She didn't like
speaking. she only likes speaking to maggotkit,
her best friend. They know what Frogkit went
through. Frogkit lost her mom 2 times. She
possibly could try another time, she didn't think
it was worth it tho....

Anyways back to maggotkit. She looked at it
with a nervous look. trying to tell it she didnt
want to tell her story any, only to it. "Speak
maggotkit..I wanna hear your story." The kit
said in a soft, low voice.

Oh, so it's Maggotkit's turn, now? It glances its mother way. She's still sleeping (she sleeps a lot), flanks rising and falling steadily. Does this mean it's the only one of its friends with a mom? Lucky Maggotkit. Instead of telling the maggot story right away, it assures Morningkit: "Well if you're my friend then I have to help. That's my job. I will help." It doesn't want her thinking it'll be so easily shaken off. Maggotkit is an awfully pushy little thing, when it wants to be.

In the interest of stalling just a bit longer, it fixes a look on Frogkit, who's woken from her short nap. She looks uneasy about something, and Maggotkit realizes that they've jumbled the order; it wanted Morningkit to go, then Frogkit, then maybe itself. But here's Frogkit, looking all worried now. It wouldn't be right to make her do something she doesn't want to do—something that's making her look so fretful. Right?

Part of Maggotkit wants to ignore that, though. Part of it wants to pretend that it doesn't understand, to shine a spotlight on Frogkit and watch her squirm all so it doesn't have to do what it doesn't want to do. It lets that mean feeling hang for a moment, holds it carefully like some living thing between its jaws, before breathing it out and away. Not today. Maybe some other day...but not today.

"Once," it starts up, distant and and narrative, "Whiterabbit from Windclan ate a piece of yucky prey. Only she didn't know it was yucky until a teeny-tiny, squirmy-wormy maggot fell out. And she felt so bad for the little maggot that she scooped it up and carried it to her nest. Every day she slept and played with the teeny-tiny, squirmy-wormy maggot until it looked more and more like a kit! It grew little kit whiskers and little kit feet. And she named it Maggotkit. The end!"

It is hardly the truth, but it's the story that Maggotkit likes the best, and it's the story that it wants to share.

Frogkit thinks it is a relief that maggotkit understood her wishes. she realized
maggotkit was the perfect friend for her.
"Thanks for doing that. I only trust you
with my story" She whispered to maggotkit.
want it to know that she appreciates it's kind
gesture.

Maggotkit caught her off guard with the story
it told. maybe maggotkit will only tell frogkit
the real story like Frogkit would to maggotkit.
