A heartbeat or so after she'd said that an apprentice approached her, and the large warrior turned towards them when- She blinked once in surprise before taking the two remaining steps between them to try and help up Swanpaw, but the young cat scrambled to their paws quickly... and tried to make a run for it. Now Hawkcatcher was not the sort of cat to forcefully drag anyone with her, as especially not when they seemed this distressed, but she sensed that just letting this one run away was the lesser way to deal with this.
Taking a short, quick hop to land beside the fleeing apprentice and half blocking her path, half scooping the apprentice aside with her tail. "Ok slow down." She had dealt with many messy, overly ambitious, stressed, or overwhelmed furballs - sometimes you had to be more gentle. "You wanted to learn how to climb, right? Then let's go to the forest - we'll take it slow."

Before she could get far, her path was suddenly blocked by the large warrior. Oh no. The warrior caught her. She was going to be made fun of in front of the whole camp and bring shame to her family. ”I u-uh, I-I’m sorry,” Swanpaw squeaked out closing her eyes tightly. This was it for her. Mommy and Daddy would disown her and Elkpaw would make fun of her… Her very life as she knew it was all over!
Or so she thought. The harsh words of how she was a failure never came, and she was instead met with… kindness? Was this some kind of trick? Was she being lured into a false sense of security to let her guard down? ”A-are you s-sure you want to t-teach m-me?” The amber eyed-cat stammered. What would they do if they made a fool of herself again? She desperately wanted to learn how to climb after her last showing but would this warrior really be satisfied with them if she couldn’t get it on the first try?

All seemed well today! It was sunny and they'd one the battle with Riverclan so it was pretty peaceful. A perfect day for...anything really! Cats could just relax or make themselves helpful and Nightgaze was set on doing both! By sunbathing and keeping an eye out for anyone who might need help! Good plan, right? Yep! So here she was, perched on a warm rock, soaking up the sun while observing camp!

The tom made his way into the clearing. Wounds still fresh. It had been a moment since everyone's settled down and Mudhound was helping the trio that had been flung into the earth out. He wasn't needed at this moment. So he made himself useful elsewhere.
One of them being the other half of Mudhound and another Warrior. That would be enough if he went to help as well. "You two. Redbird and Birdfeather. C'mere we're gonna go snag that Monster and bring it back. It's gonna be a feast." he ordered, than promptly turned on his heels and made his way back out of the entrance.

Salmonshade watched as his kits ran out of the nursery he saw berry kit first darting out the eveningkit hmm blossom kit was probably on their way he overheard berrykit mention warriors and apprentices and he padded over “Ah looks like you foundt a stream got your paws wet?..don’t worry you can dry up after our tour” he looked back towards eveningkit and saw that he was slightly scared he sat next to him “I get it son I remember the first time I went outside I wouldn’t move”he said in a whisper chuckling making sure the other kits didn’t hear him “Let’s wait for blossom kit and then we can start the tour!” He padded forward and sat down watching his kits experience everything

Oh, this seriously gonna be the second to most annoyin’ thing I’mma be havin’ to do lately… Rosekit mused as he waited in front of the nursery. One thing was for certain; Apologies were not exactly Rosekit’s forte. This was only a single example. Then again… I’m guessin’ the issue with Amberkit, The Freak, was much more annoyin’ than all of this… well, anyway, at least I didn’t need to apologize there! There ain’t a reason for me to say sorry for The Freak’s decision to claw out my fur… Rosekit faded off topic for a moment and shifted his head to glance back at the recovering rips and tears in the fur on his tail. It was a pretty nasty look, but strangely, Rosekit found it amusing. Well, if we’ve got anybody who’s gonna get the enritity of ThunderClan in big trouble for some sorta murder’ish thing, it’s this guy: The Freak. He outta learn somethin’ whenever he’s punished… otherwise, what’s the point of me thinkin’ it over?
Rose’Kit began to think Dawnkit’s way into that thought process, imagining how strange it was that the two cats slept in the same den. He got the unwanted image of Amberkit moving his claw’ish wrath to Dawnkit, and forced it away as quickly as he could, cringing. Yeah… nah. Kid’s an absolute menace, I wouldn’t let ‘em lay a claw on anybody else, Dawnkit very much included. Weird guy, but I s’pose everybody’s got a purpose…? The russet tabby-tom kit shuddered in disgust at that last thought. Ew, optimism and positivity! Yuck. …EVEN IF THEIR PURPOSE IS LITERALLY TO BE THE LOCAL JERK. There, that’s more like it… more like HIM. Rosekit grinned a little and kept on thinking, until he was interrupted by the sound of rustling in the nursery. Ah, crap- I wasn’t payin’ enough attention to the ‘now.’ I’ve gotta work on that, jeez! So grumpily, he peeked into the nursery with an impatient amber gaze, sweeping his stare around until he located Dawnkit. There. She must’a heard by call, it was pretty dang noisy, wasn’t it? With a slight snicker, he kept watching.
Rosekit noticed her rise and begin to stretch, and he felt an odd wave of relief. Oh… well, I’m guessin’ she can’t be too upset, if she’s actually gettin’ up to acknowledge me. Such a shame that I’ve even gotta worry about these things… hmph. Imagine a world where apologies didn’t even have to exist… everythin’ would be so, so, SOOO much easier, wouldn’t it!? He snapped back his attention and centered it on Dawnkit, staring in impatient silence as she fully awoke from her little doze. At the ide athatnhe might have awoken her, Rosekit felt a surge of amusement, and he flicked his ears. That’s funny… it’s a full circle! She woke me up, I clawed ‘er out verbally, I wake her up, she… oh. His heart dropped. -Yeah… oh. Uh oh. Well, if Dawnkit hated him, so be it. She could never be his least favorite cat- that role was already stolen by his mysterious parental unit and The Freak. Chances were, she was just going to say his acquaintance, as well as ally if they ever were to fight together in battle.
Rosekit sighed and backed up a little bit as Dawnkit stepped through/beside nests and weaved around the nursery, coming towards Rosekit and the entrance. Now was the time to say… no, not sorry, but apologize in his own fashion. His tortoiseshell denmate reached the nursery entrance, and Rosekit forced the nervousness to wipe itself away from his expression, fading right on back into his usual bored and uninterested self. Gotta look the part to BE the part… ugh… He lowered his paw from his jaw and set it to rest against the ground beneath him. He briefly noticed Dawnkit’s tail twitching back and forth with nervousness, but he had done enough overthinking today to put too much thought into it. If she’s worried ‘bout what ai’m about to say, I’m sure she’ll be just fine to know that this ain’t my latest attempt at bein’ a jerk. I’m done with that, it’s annoyin’ to deal with, too. So once Dawnkit was in front of him, still sitting, Rosekit cleared his throat and prepared to speak.
In a grumpy sigh, he started. “A’ight, a’ight… you. Prolly. So I’m guessin’ what I said earlier didn’t make ya’ all that happy, did it? Told ya’ I didn’t have any interest in bein’ friends with ya’ didn’t I?” He didn’t wait for any sort of response, and grunting, he quickly jumped back into it, flicking his paw in the air carelessly. “And yeah, yeah, I ain’t here to take it back. We ain’t gonna be friends, but like I said before, that doesn’t mean I dislike ya’. You’re just fine. Now, gettin’ to the point.” Rosekit paused to think, This better not be a waste’a time… this kid better be payin’ attention to what all I’m sayin’ to ‘er. He rolled his eyes at the thought, and then nudged his head towards the nursery. “There. See that den? Yup, you’ve got a whoooooe heck-load’a denmates for ya’ to befriend. So it’s hard findin’ friends, ain’t it? I wouldn’t know- or care, frankly- but I’m sure it gets complicated, don’t it? But don’t take my personality too seriously, ‘cause… I’m just one guy. Just a single dude with…” He gritted his teeth for a second, then forced himself to admit to it. “…with anger issues. The Rant-Runt, I call myself. So don’t take my reaction as an example, ‘cause I’m one of the hundreds’a cats you’re gonna meet, so… you’ll find friends, just not Rosekit.”
Stiffly, Rosekit glanced down at the ground for a moment. What else was he going t say to her? It still didn’t feel like enough. So hesitantly, he gave up and gave in to improvising again, this time keeping his comments and remarks decently under control. “Yeah, you’re annoyin’ as heck sometimes, I’m sure. But that’s alright, ‘cause you’ve got a bunch’a good traits, too. You’re pretty nice, pretty forgivin’… so don’t just quit lookin’ ‘round for friends. They’re out there, I’m sure- maybe ya’ could even teach ‘em all a thing or two ‘bout huntin’, now that we’ve had our childish trainin’ session.” He allowed himself to smirk a little. “An’ even though we ain’t friends, I’ll still be ‘round, ya’ know? Some cat teases ya’, I’ll claw ‘em out- gladly. You’re alright, on my neutral list, so I’ll still be ‘round.”

She listened closely, trying to judge what he might be feeling. Rosekit started by saying he still wasn't going to be friends with her, but at least he was sorta... apologizing? There ain't much to say on that parts. Is not your problem that kits don't like me. So what're you actually doing here? There were several things Dawnkit wanted to say, and it was clear now that being honest would be the best option.
Her anger flared as he suggested she make friends with the other cats in the nursery. Maybes ya didn't notice, but I tried that! Nobody is any fun around here! Hecks, I learn more things talkin' ta you then I did in a moon. He continued, telling her not to take his attitude seriously. Then Rosekit looked down, stating that while Dawnkit was annoying, she wasn't half bad either. At this point, she was going to give him a bit of an earful. If he hadn't come to be friends, what was the point of talking to her? Teaching her anything? He could have stopped talking to her after last night.
Once Rosekit paused to let her speak, she started her own rant.
"Whats the points of even coming here? I get ya want to apologize, but you just said ya didn't care." Dawnkit looked up at him. "You don't cares bout' anything, do ya? Not friends, not trainin'-after all, ya just said thats childish, all ya wanna do is chew kits out. You don't even know how to say sorry!" She paused for breath. The kit hadn't spoken this long in a while.
"Do you even knows how hard it is ta talks with people aroun' here? All kits do is eat, plays, an sleep. Most queens dunno what to do with someone who acts different. I talks to a kit this way, they gonna look at me like there's a second sun. I could maybe try with apprentices, but they'd always trainin'." By now, her rage was beginning to cool off. She wasn't sorry, not at all, but perhaps, she could end it on a lighter note. Dawnkit tried to settle herself, she hadn't even realized she'd been standing. "Anyways. Maybe ya gots anger issues. Not to be rude, but it sorta shows. But I ain't giving up on bein' friends, no matter what ya say. You're the most interesin' kit in the whole place, so... maybe it'll just takes a while. But, I know ya prolly going to be mad now, go ahead and do that. It's fine, really."
After all of that she was tired again. Dang, low energys ain't great. She wrapped her tail tightly around her as she sat, and waited.
