Wispypaw wasn't sure if she was happy to be back or not, and it was mainly because of the family drama. For now, she would give it a try to get along with them again though she was iffy about her dad. Wispypaw might not be able to see anything but that didn't mean she couldn't hear the talks about how he was acting. The way they all spoke made him sound like a completely different cat, she didn't like that. That was a problem for another day she could confront him about his personality change when she had more time. Today she decided she was going to catch up on her training since she was sure she was behind now. Using her sense of smell she followed the stinky smell that most warriors seemed to have on them to the warrior's den. Now she couldn't tell if anyone was in here currently since she couldn't pinpoint if any sounds she heard were from inside the den or the clearing.

"Hello? Is anyone in here? I want to get some training done before I grow old like my mom"

Honeybite was taking the time to rest. It seemed like everytime their aging bones were almost free of aches, something else happened that required all paws on standby for one reason or another. Not to mention the fact that they seemed to be making up for other's inaction as of late.
The warrior's peace was disrupted when a faintly unfamiliar scent reached their nose. Peeling an eye open, they peered up as Wispypaw entered the warriors den, seemed to take a look around, and asked an open question for training.
The blotched warrior sat and waited, their eyes like sunlight filtering through ice scanned to see if anyone else would take up the offer. Bad luck for the apprentice, it seemed, because there were maybe a pawful of other warriors in the den, and none of them seemed to pay her any mind.
After ten seconds of no one responding to the poor dear, Honeybite relented, and got to their paws. They approached the apprentice, eyes carefully scanning her face.
Something about her was... Different, and they couldn't tell why. It had nothing to do with her resemblance to the drop out Medicine Cat, the whole Clan knew that cat had given birth to enough kittens to make up at least 3 full patrols in one litter. No, it had something to do with her mannerisms, but they didn't know why that had stood out to her.
"Hello, Wispypaw," they started.
"You said you wanted training? As it turns out, I have some free time today. What did you have in mind?"

She hadn't expected anyone to be in the den, wouldn't it normally be empty if work was being done like normal? Wisypaw had taken most warriors in the clan to be like her mom and dad, workaholics. It seemed she was wrong, oh well this worked out in her favor since she'd finally gotten a chance to catch up to her siblings. She turned to look in the direction the voice was coming from and regarded them momentarily with a bit of surprise. Surprised that someone was willing to give her some training with no trouble. It brought her back to her mentor beforehand who seemed annoyed with the idea of being stuck with her as an apprentice. "Great to see someone is willing to help me with training!" came her huffed response trying to hide her initial surprise. "I was hoping to get some battle training done, hunting's great and all but I don't need others thinkin' I'm weak" she supposed she didn't need to point out why others would think of her that way.

Battle training?
It had been awhile since anyone had come to Honeybite of all cats for training regarding fighting. Then again, Wispypaw hadn't many choices, considering none of the warriors still in the den were even looking in the apprentices direction.
Well, then, it seemed this poor apprentice would be stuck with her for the day.
"There are only so many ways to skin a rat, and only so many hunting techniques to be learned," was her reply, a strange confirmation that she would be happy to train the apprentice.

After a few moments of carefully watching Wispypaw, Honeybite was struck by the feeling that she was missing something. An important detail she hadn't previously noticed regarding the apprentice.
It would be something she'd need to figure out before they trained, but for now, the warrior would simply watch closer for an idea of what it was that was catching her attention.
"I take it that you wish to leave now for training rather than later? I cannot promise that my time won't be occupied in a few hours, if you have other things to complete before we leave."

She stared at the other blankly as she tried to process that phrase that was spoken to her. It had confused her for a bit till she finally understood its meaning, what was up with adults and their weird phrases? Wispy couldn't understand why they couldn't just simply talk or answer questions but chose to try and fry the brains of some cats. Thank god that she wasn't some cat, she was on the smarter side and she gave thought to stuff. "I very much appreciate that we go now instead of in the future when I'm old" yeah, she'd very much rather get it over with and be prepared for future events. Not sitting here twiddling her paws as she watched everyone else go off to any raids or battles the clan part took in. If it was one thing she despised it was being left behind to be forgotten. Wispypaw luckily didn't have anything else planned to do, at least as far as she was aware she was free for now.

Honeybite nodded as Wispypaw spoke.
Good. Often, apprentices would ask for help for the future and then never remember to return for that training.
"My apologies for assuming, but too often apprentices ask for help in advance and then forget to come collect."
The warrior passed by the apprentice, tail tapping the ground a few inches from her paws to signal she'd moved. She'd determined that the reason the apprentice seemed off was something to do with her sight.
Too vacant, she'd realized.
As she trotted out of the warrior's den, she turned to ask a final question.
"Is there anything I should keep in mind while training you? Preferences for strategy, or a disability to accommodate for? I'm not disabled myself, so I can only do so much to accommodate a fighting style, but I will try."
Who was it that she hadn't realized needed accomodations that hadn't been truthful when she'd asked? Or perhaps hadn't realized a diminished lung capacity counted.
It had caused their training to be ineffective and it landed the apprentice in the Medicine Den trying to keep up. She didn't ask to make conversation, and lying didn't help anyone.
"And please don't lie. I can't teach you properly if we don't communicate truthfully."

"Then what good are they as warriors if they didn't want to put in the work to get their training done, weak!" she huffed. The paw could see why there were so little amount of apprentices made into apprentices. If they couldn't even be bothered to get off their asses and get their training done, she didn't want to see them as a warrior. Now that she thought about it, they were probably also the reason she heard Grandma or something someone higher up complaining about the lack of patrols. "You can be happy to hear that I am way better than those fools, I'm willing to finish my training so I can stand beside my mother like a good warrior!" She probably should include her father too but she hadn't seen much of him lately. Tufted ears perked at the question thrown at her, that's a first. Usually, she left others to find out the hard way that she was blind, they never did notice or ask her. Wispypaw did have to give the other credit for bothering to ask for the little stuff and to notice it all too. "I like you, smarter than the warriors I've talked to, I'm blind and have been since birth but I don't like for it to slow me down, I'll take any kind of battle moves you can provide, but if I got a preference I'd say I prefer to be sly, don't think being out right aggressive is my kind of deal" she answered. She had thought about what she'd do in any battles or whatever, let the idiots think she's an easy picking just because she's blind just for them to get their butt handed to them.
