ThunderClan Apprentice

Treepaw followed after Redhawk, grateful for the Hornet's help. Soon, she wouldn't need this help. Soon, she'd be a warrior. She was so ready for that. Right now, she felt as though she had no control over her life and deep down she was hoping that getting her warrior name would give her some control back. Suppressing her inner demon was getting harder and harder to do, too. Treepaw ached for the control.
The apprentice came up to Smallpines and looked around. It wasn't too impressive and before Redhawk would even question the smells, her nose was crinkling at the fishy scents.
"It just smells like fish and water," she replied simply. Her eyes would move cautiously over the border, heeding the Hornet's warning. Despite having been trained, Treepaw didn't want to test her battle skills just yet. Not in front of her clanmate, at least.
Redhawk - ThunderClan Hornet

That answer was pretty much spot on. Redhawk beamed nonetheless and nodded. "T-That's RiverClan for you! Very different from T-ThunderClan." Where they had a more... woodsy smell, for lack of a better term, that was thicker and smelled familiar, RiverClan's was tangy and sharp. It reminded her of the ocean breeze that often drifted under her nose during gatherings. She didn't particularly dislike the smell, but the hornet much preferred ThunderClans for sure.
Stepping along the riverbank and keeping an eye out towards the marshy territory of their water-dwelling neighbors, Red took the opportunity to mark the border. "You're getting close t-to your warrior ceremony, aren't y-you?" she asked with intrigue, looking over at Treepaw with an encouraging grin. "Any t-thoughts on what you'd want your w-warrior name to b-be?"

Treepaw would take a glance over the border, but it made his pelt tingle with unease. She hadn't had the best experiences with the other clans thus far so she wasn't a fan of being near the borders. However, having Redhawk here eased the stress a little. She was safe. She had an extra set of paws if something were to happen.
The molly followed in silence, listening to Redhawk's friendly banter. It wasn't something she was used to. Most cats just left her alone or there was Spiderthroat who seemed concerned every time he was in her presence. Odd, wasn't it? It wasn't like Treepaw stared into the soul of other cats or anything... right?
Speaking of, Treepaw had taken up the odd habit and was staring at Redhawk blankly as she spoke. The green abyss were rounded with thoughts unknown to most of the clan. She'd perhaps need to speak to someone about them... someone other than Skunkstrike. She cleared her thought. Don't make things awkward. The bengal considered the question for a moment more. "I just hope it's a strong name. I feel like I deserve that..." Treepaw wouldn't dwell on that idea. She matched the steps of Redhawk as they continued on.
"Just have my assessment left..." she spoke softer, her gaze shifting to focus on the ground as it moved under her.
@taillow - Redhawk [Haggard Ruins was the last spot, don't mind Tree starting to get creepy now. It's just her thing heh.]
*Copper'Call jumped out of the bushes behind the tom, and he thought the thunderclan cat was going to hurt the she-cat. So he slid his paws out and hissed* ''why are you here, thunder cat? are you going to hurt her?''
Mudhound
Thunderclan Hornet | They/them | 35 Moons
Bilingual T2 | Flock Together T3 | Rapid Recovery | Beefed up T3
The trip to the smallpines had been light and full of chatter, Mudhound commenting on every little thing and doing their best to reassure Redhawk that she'd be ok with her new leg despite her worries. "After all! I missing a whole leg and I learned to hunt again so you'll learn to do all your stuff with a wiggly one! I promise it'll be ok and no one will judge if you dont get a ton this time, your life just changed a lot~"
Snakefang wasnt left behind in chatting as well, the tripod cooing at how different the area smelled now and commenting "Wow its a lot less fishy with no riverclan scent marks! I bet we can kinda nose across the border and there'll be tons of prey because no ones hunting it if we dont find any here!
You got any specific prey youre looking for today Snakefang?"
as they set to work scent marking the border by rolling around, keen to get that over with so they could go hunting after.
Snakefang’s eyes were closed and she was about to crash to the ground and fall asleep when Redhawk arrived for the patrol. At least now she knew that once this patrol was finished, she'd be able to fall asleep, a relief after not being able to do so for days. Her eyes opened upon the Hornet's apology to her and Mudhound in advance for taking longer than usual to hunt, which brought her attention to Redhawk’s paw, which looked pretty badly damaged. "No need tae apologise." Snakefang began, "Take as long's ye need." Cats taking forever to do things usually annoyed her, but when they had a legitimate reason for taking more time, in those cases Snakefang would be more understanding and patient.
Snakefang managed to stay awake on the journey to Smallpines, partly thanks to Mudhound's positivity and chatter. They seemed a nice cat, but Snakefang was just too tired to be interested in very much of the chatter. Upon arriving at Smallpines, Mudhound asked if there was anything specific she wanted to catch after suggesting going into RiverClan’s former territory.
"I do like a good mouse, but I tend tae have awful luck with them. I haven’t caught one without some kind o' dramatic incident in moons." Did that sound ridiculous? A cat who couldn’t catch mice? Maybe, but it was the truth, Snakefang never failed to fail catching mice, something would always go wrong. "Although if we're goin' into RiverClan territory, there'll have to be a few water voles around, don't know if either o' ye have tried them, but they taste incredible." Being tired definitely made her a bit forgetful too. And it was at times like this when she was more likely to slip up about her greatest secret, of course she'd find RiverClan's usual foods to be delicious, she was half RiverClan herself! "My father showed me how tae catch fish as well, I don't like them as much but I can do it." Uh oh, now she really had slipped up, and realised as much almost immediately.
