Splashgaze had no surprise on her face when the starry hunting ground revealed itself before her eyes. What could she have done better? Why was fate so cruel? She could have retired, finished mentoring... but no. Splashgaze felt no ounce of pride in her blood. She died before an apprentice's paws, not at a warriors. How cruel...

She bumped into another cluster of stars and jolted backwards with a start. She was still on edge, adrenaline still in her system. Splashgaze dipped her head and apologized, though she looked up at the cat through the corner of her eyes.

✿｡°°｡✿ they. . them ➔ short yet muscular brown feline with darker brown flecks and back. they have a white underbelly and and a stubbed tail. their fur is fluffy and they have orange eyes.

They were getting relatively decent at this whole,,worldweaving thing which really made one confuzzled on why some spirits didn't quite have that connection. Maybe they were simply opting out of bothering with the living, ready to live in their retirement or it was a selective thing. Didn't matter - Asterdance would simply have to make up with doing as much meddling as they could. Which speaking of, Spiderthroat & Roseraven had both gotten their gifts which meant Bumblestar was next on their list. Then Ripplepaw. (admittedly they wanted to his as soon as possible but hadn't quite figured out a good idea)

The brown feline hummed contently to themself as they walked through the territory in search for the sweet-smelling herb they had discovered a bit ago. No idea what it was - familiar but they never actually paid attention when it came to herbs - but eating it always made their head go fuzzy in a good way. Like telling it to relax. Which Bumblestar probably needed.

Naturally, they smelled it before they stumbled upon it growing alongside a running stream. With excited glee, they started to pick a few leafy stems of the herb. Just smellin' the damn thing made Asterdance want to zip across StarClan's territory and simply never stop.

Next on the choppin' block was some type of prey. They never thought that molly ate enough and somethin' somethin' food was vital for a healthy mind. Actually, if Asterdance had their way they would personally deliver food to 'bout everyone they could if it wouldn't leave them passed out face-first in the dirt. Maybe one day. At least they could do this.

A lizard had slithered its way out of their paws - maybe for the best, scales were a bit of a pain - and now they were trailing the scent of a rabbit. They stepped softly on the ground, muscles rippling under their pelt.

They stepped through the tall grass and out into a forest clearing where a rabbit chewed lazily on flowers. They dropped down into a hunting crouch, ever so slowly stepping closer and closer. A paw stepped on a branch and the rabbit's head shot up. They launched themself forward and the chase was on.

Asterdance ran through the forest after that rabbit, a wild grin on their face as they leapt over a log. Feeling the wind against their fur - it was freedom. A sharp right and once the warrior came closer and closer to that cotton-tailed creature it leapt with its paws outstretched and tackled it to the ground. With triumph, Asterdance delivered a swift killing bite.

At least finding a pretty pebble wasn't too hard of a job. The river bank had many. The one they finally decided was black and burgundy-orangeish rock that gleamed in the sunlight. With all things collected they laid the items out in front of them, arranging them in a satisfying array. The catmint covered the rabbit with the pebble laying on top of it.

Asterdance's eyes fluttered close and the tugging feeling came much easier this time. They gently pulled at the strings, tearing a small hole. Memories of the cream-furred warrior flashed through their mind as they fixated on Bumblestar before shoving the items through the hole. With any luck, they would not land on her head. That would be a wee bit unpleasant.

Their eyes fluttered open slowly, a yawn escaping them. Sleepy .. nap time!
