Rosehawk slunk into the den, her ice-blue gaze glittering in the gloom. She spotted Goldfish, slinking over to her. In the darkness, she looked a lot like Shellwhisker, Rosehawk did, but she was a completely different cat.

“Goldfish?” she meowed. “How are you feeling?”

Leafkit chose a moss bed to settle down in and started to groom his fur. He didn't do any battle training, but it was tiring just watching the warriors train.

It was quite unexpected for the splotched feline to be approached. Why did they care? She just wanted to remember. Wanted to visit the graves. But the past was dark as night. She didn't want to see it anymore. The Ace of Spades could use some luck. "Oh. Hello there, Springkit." She mewed to the gray feline. "I'm just thinking, that's all. A lot of things have been happening to me lately." She offered him a small smile, before looking up to see a familiar figure. She tensed, lip beginning to curl in distaste. Not a ghost. Not a ghost. Can't be Shelly. Never can be Shelly. Please. She blinked once, twice, three times. Oh. Rosehawk. Sigh. Why was everyone talking to her? She wanted a break ffrom everything to rest and reffuel before she could run again.

"Hello, Rosehawk. I'm fine." She said, voice firm and neutral. Not shellie. Never shellie. Shellie was dead. Why did everyone have to talk to her right now? Please. She just wanted to get on a normal schedule. "Just resting after an herb patrol." Her voice was a little softer and more careful. "You remind me of someone I met a long time ago, you know that? I don't like talking about the past, though." A head shake. "Abandoned one too many times."

He grinned I’m glad you liked it! Any questions? He asked he enjoyed this kits company he had been lonely in the elders den and this was a nice change of pace

Wishkit shrugged. "I never know where she is" they told the queen.

He returned the little smile that he got, not quite managing to make it reach eyes blue and yellow eyes that still shone faintly of concern. He had learned pretty recently that 'just thinking' could be 'just thinking about this one fun thing and daydreaming' but also often was something cats said when they were in fact not fine but didn't have the energy to actually explain that.

A lot of things had happened recently. Springkit was very (very) aware of that, but it was partially that that made him want to check in on his clanmates, especially if they seemed tense. If a lot of things had happened to Goldfish... well that could be very bad.

Springkit was just trying to think of some follow-up questions to ask to see if he could figure out the potential issue (maybe then he could ask Misty to check on them? She seemed to have a way of making cats feel better, even without herbs), when he looked at the queen again... and saw the look on her face. Wait, what was wrong now? He blinked at her, concern and almost panic flashing over his expression at the... horror, on Goldfish's face. He followed her gaze... to Rosehawk? "oh, hi rosie" And when he looked at Goldfish again... she seemed perfectly fine with a stable and neutral voice.

Springkit didn't have much to comment on right now, look from queen to queen as they talked. Not liking to speak about her past? Somewhere in Springkit a natural drive of curiosity sparked, but stronger than that was the worry in his gaze. Then the next sentence. 'Abandoned one too many times.' "abandoned...?" It sent a little shiver through the small kitten, and he had to press his paws firmly into the dirt and moss under him so as not to stake the two steps between him and Goldfish and press his forehead against her shoulder.

Rosehawk bent her head to give Springkit a quick lick on the ear before turning to Goldfish and blinking.

She had only been a mere apprentice a couple of moons ago whenever Shellwhisker had been exiled by Birdsnow and then supposedly died - which was true, Rosehawk guessed.

[ I got the book that Lightlark is named after { Lightlark by Alex Aster - It is recommended to read } and I’m a little bit more than halfway through. It’s SO good ]

Seagullwing heard a kit snicker, and immediately guessed that it was Fishkit. The pregnant queen turned around. "Why, there you are, Fishkit!" she said gently.
