"Markin' ain't all that difficult, don't worry kitto.." She chirped to the apprentice, flashing a quick grin before padding ahead to a nearby stump. "You just gotta make your scent known so the rats stay off our land! I like rubbin' my face against tree's the best... really scratches an itch." She then demonstrated, making sure her scent was really on there before gesturing to Vinepaw to do the same.

The patrol would've been peaceful if it weren't for the obvious dislike that crackled between her and Wolffang. Being the humble gal she always is, Littleshock was going to keep her thoughts to herself... until he piped up. "If they even look at me the wrong way, I'm not hesitatin' to at least hurt their feelin's!" The she-cat huffed, knowing Wolffang's warning was more for her than Vinepaw. The nerve!! As if she wasn't a capable warrior who could think and act for her own! If she wanted to slice up a few Shadowclan rats, who was he to stop her?

Littleshock nearly leapt out of her fur at the cracking and crashing sounds that echoed throughout the forest.

"How could I not?" She mumbled, trying to spot whatever made that noise. Was it... more predators? Windclan had been having quite the problem with unwelcome animals parading on their territories; was Shadowclan having the same? "It's not our problem though, as long as it stays on their side."

"Okay.. Let's head back then, I think we've marked up the borders fairly well.." Midnightpaw shifted on her paws awkwardly before she nodded to her patrol-mates.

Large, muscular, dappled gray tom with amber eyes and light cream-gray fluff covering the front of his neck and chest.

Wolffang's single ear angled back toward Vinepaw as the black-and-white apprentice spoke. The noises across the border were disconcerting, but he was able to pay attention to Vinepaw. The noises were distant enough that they didn't swamp his words. Dustbunny? He blinked briefly, distracted. Dustbunny was a tunneler. So if Vinepaw was her apprentice... he was going to be a tunneler, too. It makes sense why she wasn't able to show him yet, then. They were probably busy doing whatever tunnelers did down there.

Wolffang had been in the tunnels before, back when WindClan had been struck by a powerful windstorm. He shuddered inwardly. That had been awful for more than one reason. His stress, him yelling at Leopardsong... and the tunnels themselves. Dark. Enclosed. Damp-smelling. Choking. They'd also gone underground during the fire. His stomach roiled. He never wanted to go back down there again. Ever.

He was drawn back to the present by Littleshock explaining border marking to Vinepaw. A fresh wave of distaste for the bloodthirsty gossipmonger spread through him. The idea of her teaching a young cat anything was disconcerting, to say the least. Wolffang listened carefully, ready to interject if she suggested something about watching deputies die or marking the borders with Cowtuft's blood. Surprisingly, though, what she said was sound... until, that is, she implied that she wouldn't mind going against his orders.

He stalked over to her, quite satisfied that he was quite a bit larger. "Now you listen, Littleshock," he seethed. "We will honor Twilightstar's alliance. If you start a fight without good reason - and getting looked at funny is not; it's rather immature - I'll make sure Twilightstar knows about it." And maybe she'll throw you out so you can terrorize someone else, he thought hopefully.

Was that too dramatic? Littleshock hadn't explicitly done anything to put the Clan in danger, but her nature reminded Wolffang too closely of Embershard. She was too prone to spreading rumors, too prone to causing trouble, too prone to go for the kill. He decided that he wouldn't mind if she was thrown out. But he wouldn't provoke it unless he was given a good reason.

Wolffang turned away from her before she could reply to him. So, she and Vinepaw both heard the noises, too. He frowned, turning his attention on the foreboding trees. "Sounds like Twoleg activity," he growled. "ShadowClan's supposed to be helping us with RiverClan. This could be bad. After we mark the border, we should report back to Twilightstar immediately."

With that, he began rubbing his flank along the tree bark, trying not to shudder at the gentle touch of their trailing leaves and the rough feel of the bark. The scents of rot and ShadowClan flowed around him as the ominous rumbling and crashing sounded from beyond.

He couldn't wait to get out of here.

“What are you-!?” She started to yell while trying to struggle out from underneath Lionflop, but was cut off by a wound opening on her throat, and her voice turned into more gurgles than words.
She was losing strength, she needed to think fast.
Kestrelsoar barely managed to get out from underneath Lionflop.
She stood up, extremely wobbly, turning to face him. She would collapse any second, but she wouldn’t go down running.
