Re: Kit Corner
Dawnkit bounded over, eager to see what everyone was doing. There were two older cats standing next to brightly colored flowers. She wondered if she could eat them?

With Springbee in tow, Wolfhive brought the marigold and poppy flower out to the kit corner. Not many kits were in sight at a glance, so once Wolfhive set his flowers down, he opted to fix that.
"Kits! Come over here so Springlight can show you something!"
While they gave them a moment to gather up, Wolfhive kept a close eye on the plants in question. He didn't want any accidents... kittens weren't always the brightest and liked to chew random things.

Aspenkit "Stay in your place, Better seen and not heard
Well now that Story is Ending"
._______._____._______.
The miniscule runt began to slowly walk, paws dragging on
the earth, toward the big gray tom who she'd learned was
called Wolfhive. She'd spent the first moon of her life simply
staying in the den, peering out every now and then and on
some rare occasions the spotted tabby would feel bold enough
to venture into the Camp, a large and curious place where
she lived. Well, she lived in a den in the camp, but the clearing
scared her. She didn't want to go into the big place, it was too
exciting. But she couldn't resist on occasions, so the shorthair
would slowly make her way into the unknown, excited and a
little scared. She liked exploring by herself, but this was not
exploring, this was learning where she lived!
Back at present, the runt made her way toward the gray cat
that was an awful lot bigger than she was. Aspenkit sniffed
each and every scent, beyond curious at the smells that had
followed the entering cats. Thick scents of the forest and the
bitter tang of unrecognizable leaves clung to the two. After a
moment she realized only one smelled of bitter leaves. How
curious! She wanted to explore more, wanted to learn was the
smell was. Then the mystery would be solved and she could
move on to exploring something else. As in something else,
she meant the minor scents that were connected with the
forest smell. How exciting! She wanted to ask this... planty
cat, since the undersized kit hadn't ever seen her before. In
fact, the real reason she didn't leave the nursery often was
because she was too small, smaller than her siblings, smaller
than most other kits at her age. Soon she would be two moons,
and she was still a little thing!
Hm... well, Aspenkit could play detective to figure things out!
The cat's name was Springlight, since that was what Wolfhive
had called her. What a pretty name! She approved. Aspenkit
wondered what her name would be. Maybe... Aspentrail! Okay,
that was cool, but not very... Aspenkit. Well, she was already a
bit sidetracked from playing detective, so maybe she should
just... listen. She was a good listener! The shorthair decided
against it, and to her own surprise, faced directly at the planty--
Springlight. Oh, dear! She hadn't meant to ask her! The tiny
spotted tabby cocked her head at the (As she would soon learn)
Medicine cat. "Why do you smell like plants?" She mewed,
voice hoarse from lack of use. Her interest had piqued, and oh
no, there was no turning back! Oh no!

Eveningkit had still been exploring the clearing trying to gain familiarity with whole place. He was just staring at the fresh kill pile trying to decide if he wanted to steal something for himself before he heard someone call. At first he ignored it until he saw some of the other kits heading in the towards that general direction, not wanting to miss out on anything He dropped what he was doing and followed.
He didn't know the name of the older cats he saw waiting there, nor did he care to know, he just saw Hornetkit and blossomkit come this way so he followed them because well he couldn't just let his littermates have all the fun now could he. He casually trotted up to Hornetkit, bumping him a playful greeting. "what are herbs?" he questioned hearing the strange word his brother used.
He glanced down at the flowers the warrior had placed down. What was so special about these? They were just yellow flowers. They did look pretty but that was as far as it went for Eveningkit. "what's so special about these?" he asked looking up at the two older cats. they just look like boring old flowers to me" he scoffed as he sat down eyeing the plants suspiciously.
The kitty was playing with a ball made of moss. The owl threw him up and tried to catch him in the air. So she threw it up and kicked, but the ball had already fallen, and the kitty landed awkwardly. She didn't give up. She tossed the moss ball over and over again. So she threw it high, high, as it seemed to her: "To heaven! ". The owl jumped and died... The moss ball was in her paws! She let out a triumphant squeal. "After this, you need to rest! " The Owl thought and fell asleep.
SPRINGLIGHT
long-furred, scarred, oriental-shaped, gray-and-orange calico molly with blue eyes; torn right ear
active purrks: herbal knowledge - tier 2 | the collector | mind reader | skip the steps she/her | thunderclan medicine cat | 20 moons
Following closely after the hornet, the calico gingerly carried the sorrel, chamomile, and cobwebs in a neat, but tight bundle as she placed herself on her haunches. She listened as Wolfhive called for the kits to gather around, making sure to place a paw over the bundle of herbs so that none of the kits risked accidentally getting into the herbs. There wasn’t any way in hell that she was going to allow any of the kits to eat anything that could risk giving them a horrible bellyache. If they ate the sorrel, then all they were gonna do was get hungry and probably eat more than they should. Springlight found herself internally cringing at the thought as she watched kits scrambling around on their tiny paws, curiosity fragmented in their little eyes. She overheard a few of the kits ask what herbs were, and even a couple of comments about what was so entirely special about herbs. The herbalist resisted the urge to have her lips crack up a smile, her expression schooled into neutrality as she awaited for all of the kits to have gathered. Once she had a good enough audience, the calico flashed a nod toward the hornet before focusing her attention back on the kits, allowing her lips to muster up a tiny, but barely noticeable smile.
“Hello… kits… today… I will… be giving… you a lesson… on some… herbs that… will be… very valuable… in the… future… when you… will be… needing it,” She gestured a paw towards the herbs that were presented out in front of her, giving a glance towards each kit that was present before focusing briefly on Hornetkit with a shake of her head. “You… cannot eat… these herbs… as they… are only… important… for assisting… the sick… and the wounded… one day… I may… not be… around… and you… will need… this knowledge… to help… you… out in the… future.” That seemed like a good starting point for the kits, giving them the knowledge that they shouldn’t ingest any herbs unless it is necessary and for any sort of immunity health. Such as sorrel, since it increases hunger for cats who can’t seem to find themselves willingly to eat. “I noticed… that a few… of you… asked what… are herbs… well… why don’t I… explain that… to you?” Springlight couldn’t hide the smile that grew on her face after she offered the question out to kits, not waiting for them to speak before she continued.
“Herbs… are plants… with specific… healing properties… that helps… aid both… the sick… and wounded… however… even with… good herbs… out there… there is… also bad herbs… those are… called poison… they can… hurt you… if you… take any… poisonous herbs… that… you stumble… upon… in which… I will… be explaining… any poisons… that I… personally… know of… that will… help you… avoid any… in the distant… future.” That was a painful mouthful, but it was necessary if these kits wanted to gain some important knowledge in the future if they were gonna learn how to tend to themselves. “Some… herbs that… I will… be explaining… that will… be useful to… you is… poppyseeds… cobwebs… marigold… chamomile… and sorrel… it’s not a lot… but these… will be… valuable… to you… if you… ever need them… in the future… any questions… before I start?” Questions were always a necessary part of learning as they helped enhance their curiosity, and Springlight wanted to answer any specific questions that could come to mind for these little kits as the lesson progressed. She didn’t want any confusion.

Turtlekit looked at Springlight and listened as she was curious about what the herbs did. She thought about it and decided to wait to ask the question as she was not sure how to ask without sounding a little rude. She listened to Springlight and purred.
