The brown apprentice lounged around in the clearing, smug smile on it's face. Their curse was more of a blessing - Nobody would bother a cat who stinks. Shrikepaw lifted his head to gaze at the pale blue sky, flicking it's tail from time to time.

Beetlebite headed out of the warrior's den with the intention of enjoying the day - but was quickly met with a horrific stench. The culprit wasn't hard to determine: Shrikepaw.

"Dear StarClan little dude! Did your mother never teach you how to groom yourself?" He wrinkled his nose in disgust, "I mean really, man! You've gotta do something about that."

She laughed a bit to herself. "Ah, such wonderful lovers." She thought and let out a longing sigh. If only I had one.... She thought and shook her head. Stop thinking nonsense! WHo would love a silly ol' cat like me? She padded off to the warriors den and settled down into her nest. SHe fell ound asleep, having a peaceful dream.

Rats. Seems somecat decided to talk to him. "Really old man? Just blame it on the skunks n' nobody bats an eye. Useful to keep away other cats. Shame it didn't work on ya," Shrikepaw spat, flickering his green eyes over to Beetlebite. "But I have groomed. Stench won't go away. No idea why," The young apprentice explained, curling his tail over his paws. "So have you just come over to complain about how I smell or what?" the cream tom inquired, raising it's eyebrow. It wasn't often cats wanted to talk to it, but it was perfectly fine with that. So what the heck did Beetlebite want?

"Old man? Dude I'm not even-" Beetlebite meant to protest but before he could finish the thought, it came to his attention that he was probably old enough to be the apprentice's father. "You know what, you've got me there."

"That is odd, though." He resisted the urge to poke him, as if that would yield some clue to the stinky kid's affliction, "I mean yeah, pretty much."

Offering a shrug, he settled down beside Shrikepaw. He couldn't say he got used to the smell the longer he lingered nearby, but it did seem a little less pungent than when it first graced his nostrils. Perhaps that 'nose blindness' thing cats talked about was real after all?

Littleshock didn't go to gatherings; they just weren't her thing. She couldn't get her own clanmates to like her, how was she supposed to get the other clan's to?

So why did she find herself suddenly very anxious for Windclan to return from this one? The molly kept her eyes on the entrance from her lounging spot in camp, curious to see what had happened.

Stonetail sat in the clearing looking around he was eager to go hunting but yet had the chance he was looking for a partner and with Tallgrass his mate gone off somewhere he didn’t have anyone to go with so he looked around sighing

Rabbitpaw flinched a bit as he heard the words mumbled by the warrior. Stars he was only offering to help out if she needed because she looked kind of down was all. He looked away awkwardly and then back to her with his big green eyes, "Well, umm, sorry for annoying you.. I just wanted to see if you needed help or anything. Sorry about that. I can leave you alone if you want?" Well obviously she didn't want his help, like at all, but Rabbitpaw had a bleeding heart and that was his fault so he left it open just in case she had a change of mind. Though he knew that he should probably be getting along swiftly. After all wouldn't do to annoy a warrior, after all she was probably a-okay and Rabbitpaw was reading into it too much or something. Yeah, that was probably it, though he still waited to hear her response before actually leaving her alone. Just in case, he justified the pestering to himself.

Lichenpaw could feel the hope returning to her steadily as she allowed Twilightstar to lead her back to camp, the ground underpaw was helping her feel more real, more here and more solid. Part of her almost didn't think she'd ever see this camp again in the moons she was gone. She thought she'd end up dying alone and apart from her friends and her family. To see them again? The calico felt herself grow swiftly overwhelmed with the emotions of it all and her eyes grew moist with unshed tears.

There was the fresh-kill pile, and the medicine den over there, the leader's den, the nursery and the apprentice's den. Home. The word sounded in her head, echoing in the empty space that had once housed memories of growing up here. They'd been too painful to think about in her moons away, so Lichenpaw had done her best to scrub them clean from her mind. Now, though, as she kneaded the ground in overwhelming delight, those same memories came flooding back. She's home.

Sooner or later, she'll need to see Lightningstorm about the strange bright pink caps that were seemingly fused to her claws - she couldn't hunt very well with them, much less fight, so that was a problem to tackle very soon. She cannot be a good asset to the clan if she cannot use her claws. For right now, though, she wanted a familiar face...
