To say that the fresh apprentice was excited would be an understatement. Like forget the territory and exploring that or finally getting to be on patrols with warriors, here there were cats from all of the clans; Windclan, Riverclan, Thunderclan, and of course greatest of all, Shadowclan! Pigeon had to physically restrain herself from running ahead of Dawnstar right into the crowd of cats (something told her that doing that on her first gathering would like get her insta-banned from literally all of the future ones), and resorted to following as close as she was allowed to until her clan spread out and she was finally free to go and meet everyone!
Bouncing trotting happily through the groups of clans she tossed out a few "hello"s and "heyhey"s here and there but never really stopped to interact with anyone in particular. She just couldn't decide ok! Like were there supposed to be this many cats?? Not that she was complaining but where to begin? Ok ok ok, she was gonna come to all of the gatherings and meet more cats, but for now, she just needed a victim or two to yap at! So she did perhaps the most Pigeonpaw-thing she had ever done and simply picked a young-ish looking cat from the bunch that didn't smell like shadowclan and zoomed right up to them.
"Hya, I'm Pigeonpaw! Isn't this exciting? So many cats? What clan are you from, actually - I'm Shadowclan! Also, what does usually happen here, like I know we're supposed to get the news from the other clans, share tongues and whatnot and not spill any Shadowclan secrets-" Was she allowed to say that they weren't allowed to say anything about certain things? Oh well, too late to take that back. "- and so on, but like,, well what has happened on gatherings before, you have been to gatherings before right?"Ok maybe give the time to answer.

Vinepaw jumped slightly at the sound of another apprentices voice but he decided to keep calm he turned towards the cat who was jittering with so much information at once "Im Vinepaw, from Windclan he said sitting up straight 'This is my first gathering as well so Im learning and asking the same questions would you like to um sit with me I was told to mingle with other clan cats he says as politely as he can. He makes room for the other apprentice beside him I hope Dustbunny won’t mind he thinks to himself @Moonraven

The unabashed air of boredom exuded openly from the chocolate point as he made his way through the crowd, only half paying attention to the idle chatter of the cats surrounding him. In truth, the eight moon old still did not understand the point of these meetings. It was clear these clan cats wanted to tear each others' throats out on a good day, why pretend like the full moon somehow washed away all the ill will that crackled like palpable tension in the air was beyond him. Like most of the customs that surrounded their culture. Despite having lived among them for the majority of his life by this point in his admittedly youthful life, he just didn't get them. True, there was strength in numbers, but aside of that one constancy, their need to change their names every time they sneezed and their unnatural need to worship the stars, there was very little he truly knew about the cats he lived with.
He supposed that was what he was attempting to accomplish here today. A little more understanding. He hadn't really paid attention to these awful meetings since that day Monster had appeared carrying a cat's pelt upon his back. A cat that slept in the same den he did, carrying that... that... thing. Like it was nothing. It had been more than his three moon old mind could take that night. If it hadn't been for The Boulder, he probably would have run. Taken himself back to the city and died there, among cruelties that he could at least comprehend. Terrors that were familiar to his innocent mind.
Without even thinking about it, Sprucejumper allowed his emerald gaze to sweep over the many cats gathered here, hoping to find the mountainous feline that had become so synonymous with home to him. His dark brown nose wrinkled, the one hint at his disgruntlement at not finding the cat he sought. Perhaps they hadn't come to this cacophonous clamoring of warriors, which you know... fair. The Birman mix was already regretting his presence here as it were. A slight snort escaping him, the young tom sat at the fringes of the gathered cats, knowing full well the chats among the leaders hadn't begun, yet already wishing they would be making their way back to camp.

Ah, it seemed they were late. Mistlewhisker's tail twitched in annoyance at the idea of being late to her first Gathering as deputy. No matter. The massive cat padded over to the gathered deputies, giving each of them nothing more than a nod of courtesy. How interesting. A new guppy deputy that would surely be "leader" by next moon, and the squirrel deputy. Dusklion and Spiderthroat, if her memory served her correctly. Compared to them, Mistlewhisker was a giant. She dwarfed Dusklion in an almost pitiful way, and while Spiderthroat was bigger than the guppy, Mistlewhisker still had a few hairs on him.
The part-oriental molly sat with her tail tucked neatly over her paws, large tufted ears perked attentively as Dawnstar gave ShadowClan's updates. The new deputy's single green eye scanned the gathered cats, both looking for any cats keen on starting something, and taking in the view from her spot. She hadn't seen the beach from here before.
WindClan seemed to be eyeing RiverClan like vultures, which was hardly a surprise to her. The fish had been nothing but trouble recently, and by the haggard state of their high ranks, she assumed it was just as bad inside as it was out. A sort of morbid curiosity took over as she considered if someone would break the truce tonight. ShadowClan had no need to partake in any fight, though she was certain some of her more eager clanmates would jump at the chance to flay some flesh. She hoped idly that she wouldn't have to step in and cart the overeager morons back home.
Mistlewhisker's gaze snagged on a familiar pelt, and the deputy eyed Crowtooth for a moment as if daring him to laugh at her sitting up here. He felt like the sort of acquaintance that would make fun of you for getting promoted in a teasing way.
Goopywhisker's warrior name announcement had Mistlewhisker straightening up slightly from her already ramrod position. Pride bloomed in her chest as she sought out the young warrior. Hearing his warrior name for the first time at camp had nearly bowled her off her paws. When he had confirmed the name was based off of her own, the deputy had damn near cried. And that was a lot, coming from the usually stoic feline. If she caught his gaze while Dawnstar spoke, Mistlewhisker gave him a barely perceptable nod.
The news that Mossfreckle had become a full medicine cat had been a slight surprise when they left camp, and Mistlewhisker hadn't had the chance yet to congratulate the young tom. Perhaps at the end of the Gathering on the way back, she would. Having Lostspark back as an Enforcer would be a welcome change, though she was sure being back in the force with her now ex-mate would be... interesting.
Once Dawnstar was done, Mistlewhisker flicked her pale gaze between the remaining leaders, wondering who would speak up next. They practically all looked like they were exploding with news.

Hawkfur had stayed near the back of the Gathering while waiting for ShadowClan to arrive, keeping an eye on his clanmates. He knew Twilightstar wasn't dumb enough to break the truce even with the rage she felt. But his clanmates...? Not so much.
Hawkfur would have rather not been at the Gathering at all, if he had a choice. He had been inclined to stay behind at camp with Bravebird, but coercing from his fellow Furies had him following the group to the Sea Stones. They had been right--it would be good to have as many Furies here as possible.
He eyed the new ShadowClan and RiverClan deputies, recognizing one from the mink battle, and frowning at the other. What a sick joke that RiverClan had a new deputy while WindClan's had been brutally taken by them. Even the pacific tom was flexing his claws into the sand angrily.

Hillstrider jogged along with his clanmates, the sunny tom just happy to be here. The tension between WindClan and RiverClan was so not tubular nor righteous, so Hillstrider tried to stay far away from cats of either of those clans. He did not need his chill vibes ruined by negative energy, man.
The warrior absently kneaded his paws into the sand as Dawnstar began delivering their news; a lotta good news, which was totally awesome. Hillstrider couldn't help but grin at Mossfreckle from where they sat with the rest of the medicine cats, the orange tabby happy for his friend. Mossfreckle was a cool dude who worked super hard to get where he is, and Hillstrider is stoked he's getting recognition for it! He tried to catch his friend's eye and give him a cheery wave of his fluffy tail, which would be akin to someone giving two huge thumbs up at you.

The she-cats muscles tensed when the scent of her former clan washed over her. Maybe it wasn't a good time to come this time. Her nerves were getting the better of her, but she remained in place, watching her cousin from afar talk about all that was happening in Shadowclan. New high ranks huh. She hadn't heard of those names before. Though she really didn't care to. Her eyes wandered to see if she could find Shrewstep. Marigoldleap hoped he be here, so she could see her friend once again, but part of her wanted to just hide and not let him find her.

ShadowClan was the last to arrive to the gathering, it seemed, and Cinderpaw trailed after her leader and deputy at a brisk pace, pushing herself to move faster than she usually would so she wouldn't be left behind. It took some concentration, correcting herself to half hop instead of walk. She hadn't been to a gathering yet, last moon she kept herself in camp because of her injury, but this moon? This moon she wanted to push herself to go even if she felt a little out of her comfort zone. Information was good to have.
Dawnstar got straight to business as felt typical of her grandmother, and Cinderpaw couldn't help herself as her chest puffed up in pride at the announcements of good things for ShadowClan. She wondered what the other clans would have to say... a grey cat who Cinder guessed must be Twilightstar looked very upset, and she thought the little one was Bumblestar... she looked mildly amused. The last cat must be the RiverClan leader, though Cinderpaw doesn't know him. Huh, only one tom..? Most of the clan high ranks were held by mollies, Cinderpaw noted. Has it always been like that? Will it be like that if she was ever a high rank one day?

As the group marched on towards the beach, the trees felt looming and the grass seemed scary. Yes. Everything could be scary now. She didn't like how eerie EVERYTHING felt during night. Mostly because everything was on a sole diet of no light. She had NOTHING to defend herself with if a very big scary monster leaped out at her! Because she was too scared being scared of something else jumping out at her in THE WRONG DIRECTION! She was gonna shoot that random bush a glare, when the darkened trees soon dispersed, and in place of the soil against her paw pads, it shifted into rough sand. They were here already? Gosh it felt really weirdly cold. It wasn't cold but her will-you-start-shivering-or-not said 'Screw it!', and now small twitches were running through her pelt uncontrollably. Willowpaw saw the huge hulking rocks from a distance, the whole big and hulking part coming not in handy for the rocks to hide themselves. Through the low light, she could see cats. And more cats. AN ABSURD AMOUNT OF CATS. SHE WAS GONNA DIE! Because she was gonna get embarrassed. Ok maybe you couldn't die from that but her concerns still stood! Maybe she could just sit down and wait until everything was over? Yes good idea Willowpaw you earn yourself a badge of you-tried-your-best. She found a spot. A very very dark spot where her mostly-dark pelt should hide her. If it weren't for a few VERY OBVIOUS NEON ORANGE AND WHITE PATTERNS ON THAT PELT. Maybe they weren't neon and maybe it was an overstatement but her markings still made her stand out in a shadow. She was in a shadow now. She was standing out. She was still trying to be less noticeable when the meeting starts. As she expected, not much from ShadowClans side. Also it was now she realized they were the last to arrive and maybe everyone thought that was very very bad and maybe they thought that maybe they were bad and maybe they were bad really. Alright. FOCUS ON THE GATHERING WILLOWPAW ITS THAT EASY. She sure does know a lot of calming techniques, most of them involving her mentally screaming at herself.
Very calming.
