Winterpaw's large, tufted ear twitched as he heard a little voice behind him. He turned his head, yellow eyes drifting down to a small, brown kit, notably missing a leg. Winterpaw didn't think he recognized them.
He was about to answer the kit's first question, about his name, before he felt his pelt heat at the second part of the greeting. "My... speckles?", he repeated, like he didn't hear quite right the first time.
Pretty? "Um. Hm. Well, thank you." The apprentice broke eye-contact as he glanced off to the side, which was quite unusual for him. He just... wasn't used to receiving compliments. "My name is Winterpaw. Hello, Vixenkit."
