Firestorm woke up in an unfamiliar place. It was a dreary gloomy marsh with sparse dead vegetation, underneath her paws was mushy wetness. It was gross. Not gross enough to bring down her good mood, but gross nonetheless. The area vaguely reminded her of the cat that had attempted to warn her about Cowtuft… maybe this place wasn’t so bad…? Perhaps StarClan knew that she had a wish she wanted them to grant her? Whatever the case may be she needed to find someone first. ”Hello?” she called out.

Two visitors, so close together? Must be the start of a new year. Wolverine could not help but wonder who's back he scratched to get such good luck.

His paws were silent against the sodden ground as he approached the flamehead, dark pelt barely visible against the dreary environment. "Hello," he flashed his fangs toward her in a friendly-kinda grin. "what brimgs a beauty like you here?"

WindClan. Eugh, this better be good.

Firestorm flinched slightly at the tom’s words. He was hardly even visible, and something about being called a beauty by him paired with the smile made her pelt prickle with anxiety. Oh well, it was fine, he seemed friendly enough. ”I umm… I have a request…? A wish…? Yes, I have a wish for the stars. I was wondering if you could direct me to someone who could help grant it maybe?” She asked, hesitantly.

"I suppose that depends." Wolverine's burning gaze glinted with curiosity. "What's your wish, sweetheart?" Two visitors with wishes? Hell, he was sure they were sent here just to be damned. Not his problem, but he'd be more than happy to take credit for it. He loved being the villain.

Oh great! He might be able to help! This was fantastic!!

”Well the thing is…” Her voice trailed off a little and she fidgeted as she tried to think of a not-so-embarassing way to phrase it. ”I really want kits…” Her pelt heated up as said it out loud. Bloody hell this was so embarrassing. The issue is that we’re both she-cats, however, I want to remain faithful to her… y’know? So umm… I’d like to wish for kits. I want them to be ours, not some random tom’s. Is there anything you can do for me?”

She hoped he’d be able to do something about it. She wasn’t sure how the deceased cats worked or how far their power extended, but surely there was no harm in asking, right?

The curiosity died.

Not because he was satiated, but because of what she wanted. At his essence, Wolverine leaned traditionalist - he had never been as hardcore as his brother Barkfang had been, but two she-cats having biological kits? Without a tom's help? He masked his disgust well, but the thought made his skin crawl!

He couldn't wait to see how this would backfire on them, to see how their abominations turned out. "An act against nature is going to have a price, one you will not know the details of until it happens. Are you prepared to make this deal for the sake of creating this.. family?"

Firestorm hesitated for a second, the way that the tom in front of her phrased his response worried her. What kind of price would she have to pay for the wish she was making? Taking a second to think it over, she thought about it. More than anything she wanted to be a mother, more than being a leader, and now she was being handed an opputrutnity – at a cost.

”Yes. I want to raise a family of my own with Lightningstorm, more than anything,” The orange tabby said at last ”I’m willing to pay any price – just please let me be a mother.” It would be fine. She’d be able to bare any consequence. Surely Lightningstorm would be happy about the decision, right? She’d help her raise the kits and things would work out?

Wolverine enjoyed those words immensely, for it was rarely ever true. An example was that fiesty great granddaughter of his - all talk until the consequences unfurled, and she realized the cost.

"Consider your wish granted, sunflower. You'll notice your pregnancy within the next half-moon." It still made his pelt itch unpleasantly, but he continued to stifle his visible discomfort. Maybe he'd take a dip in the bog to cleanse himself of this muck. "Now, wake up! I believe you have a little lady to return to."

Though still nervous about the looming threat of a price that may come ot bite her in the rear later, the fiery warrior’s eyes lit up when the cat told her that she’d be receiving her wish.

”Thank you so much! Wait don’t send me back yet, I didn’t get to ask your na-” Thanking the tom, she had initially been about to ask him his name, but she instead was forcibly ripped out of her dream and woke up in the medicine den next to her new mate. Dammit! How was she going to tell Lightningstorm about this when she didn’t even know who it was that granted her wish!?
