Frigidmist's shoulders felt heavy under the weight of expectation. She'd thought she was the only grandchild of Dawnstar left. However, Cougarbite was still around. It was both a relief and a new form of stress. She wasn't the only one left to carry out the goals of her grandmother after her brother's death. And she didn't see herself ever becoming a mother, so perhaps Cougarbite would be the one to perpetuate the family. But now, she had competition again.
Hence why she was out looking for a new pelt for Dawnstar. Her grandmother's gruesome taste made it easy to know what presents she'd like. She had no success so far until she finally smelled a cat. She moved silently until...she recognized that it was familiar. Somebody she used to know. Frigidmist stood up straight and walked out normally.
"Brackenfire?"
