Re: Shadows Behind a Lark
With a great deal of effort, Larkpaw finally managed to free herself from Shadowfur’s vice grip. She scrambled away and then turned back, clearly prepared for another move from him.
Shadowfur got to his paws and shook the dirt and leaf bits out of his fur. His leg was killing him, but he wouldn’t let it show. Larkpaw’s battle skills were a little rough on the edges, but she was an Enforcer. It was part of her duty to spar regularly; that would sharpen her skills over time. She was good enough to get her full name.
“Congratulations, Larkpaw,” he said. “You’ve passed your assessment. I will give my report to Dawnstar. I’d advise going and having Elmshadow take a look at your injuries. We can’t afford to have young fighters incapacitated by infection.”
Turning, he began the trek back to camp.

Re: Shadows Behind a Lark
Larkpaw
Post Count: 148/100
As Shadowfur rose to his paws, making no move to attack her again, Larkpaw was made aware that her assessment had come to an end. The apprentice enforcer bit her tongue with slight apprehension. She knew that the first two parts had been a breeze, but Shadowfur had proved quite a challenge to spar against just now. Although, considering the fact that she was merely nine moons, and who knew how old the cat standing across from her was, Lark wouldn't degrade herself too much. She was wholly more inexperienced, that was the truth.
Passed. She'd passed. "Thank you." The grey-brown she-cat said. Dipping her head in gratitude to Shadowfur, Larkpaw turned and followed him back to camp.
[ @Cherry~ - Shadowfur | Again, thank you! ]
