He didn't linger on the thought long as he reached to pick up the egg. It was too large for his mouth, his teeth clapped uselessly against it, and he stopped to think of hiw he could bring it back.

Not far away, bark was peeling from a tree. Fernpaw scampered over to it and ripped a chunk off, leaving one end significantly thinner so he could easily grasp it, and he brought it back to the egg. Carefully rolling the egg onto the thicker end, he beamed at Owltalon before he moved to grab the bark. "Lessgo!"

Once Owltalon started heading back, Fernpaw planned on following, dragging the bark along the way.

she stayed behind the rest. She was an introverted cat and she didn't like to start unnecessary conversations she eyed the egg "I don't think it's the best idea to bring a HAWKS egg into camp" she eyed the egg suspiciously "What if the mother follows us back to camp? wouldn't that be a danger to the clan?" she asked while staring at Fernpaw she hated the idea of bringing it back "what if it hatches?!" she exclaimed

Quietclaw decided to walk around the valley for fun, andhoped to socialize with some friends or help fight off enemies (Sedgewater Valley rp open)

Owltalon waited for Fernpaw to find something to carry the egg on. Briefly, he wondered if this would be worth it. The bird inside the egg would die. It appeared to already have a crack in it. He hoped Fernpaw would show his denmates, then lose interest. However, that wasn't how the apprentice usually worked. Besides, they were already late. While this certainly wouldn't help matters, he was sure that Wolffang would give them some slack.

He began to fidget impatiently and was about to tell Fernpaw to forget about it, when he appeared with a piece of bark in his jaws. As he situated the egg, Owltalon began to slowly walk back to camp. He periodically glanced back, making sure Fernpaw was still trailing.

Gulltwist shrugged going on a patrol was a better punishment than it being known that she ran from birds. She lashed her tail to her clanmates,” Might as well get this done.” she meowed hoping there wouldn’t be birds there, that was the problem with Riverclan, they had so many birds.

Gulltwist noted that one warrior didn’t come, she glanced at Roseclaw and gave a small nod turning off to hunt herself, she spotted a water vole scurrying around by the water and dropped into a crouch sneaking up to it silently and pouncing on it killing it quickly before she began to mark the borders, she’d be in less trouble if she marked the borders and caught some prey.

Gulltwist was glad there weren’t many birds around so she continued to mark the border carrying her piece of prey in her mouth glad it was peaceful at the border.

The trip to the border was quiet and uneventful, at least for Starlingflight. It was quiet on this side of their territory, and truthfully? It was a breath of fresh air to be away from the suffocating Thunderclan border with its increasing danger, or the ShadowClan border, for obvious reasons.

Padding along the border, Starlingflight glanced over her shoulder for her patrol mates, calling out, "Alright, Bristletail, take that end of the border. Mintpaw, keep a lookout, practice your scenting and tell us if you smell either prey, herbs or danger." Starlingflight said as she looked over the border. It was very quiet...and something tickled her nose on the breeze....

((remember that the optional prompt is that a pair of geese are nesting near the border. the female is content to ignore the patrol, but the male is eager to cause trouble.))
