Goldenwhisker padded through the forest, looking for someone to talk to. Particularly someone... Special. She crouched down, seeing if anyone was around the corner. Right now she felt like killing...

Darkfire, minding his own business, was walking in the woods. Because he felt like it, when he rounded a corner and found his mate waiting there. He jumped. "Goldenwhisker! Are you trying to stalk me now or something? Stalking your mate might be counted as creepy!" Darkfire laughed, but it was clear he was joking about the creepy part.

Goldenwhisker jumped, suprised to see Darkfire was there. She got out of her hunting crouch and ran over to him. You scared me! She purred, rubbing against his shoulder. She sniffed the air, reminding herself that she had the best mate in all of ShadowClan.

Darkfire purred. How sweet a mate he had! Then he noticed that she had been in a hunting crouch. "You where in a hunting crouch.... are you in a mood for killing or something?" he asked, concerned.

Goldenwhisker's fur burned with embarresment. Uhm. She stammered, no. That was lame. She thought, licking her chest fur. She glanced up at him, hoping he would belive it.

She sighed. Fiiiine. Yes, I was. She hated doing this to her mate. But at least she got it out. Gazing into his eyes with her dark blue stare, she said, I'm sorry. Her tail flicked nervously. Was he mad at her?

Darkfire's eyes softened. "Look, I know you aren't used to this, the telling. But you can, if it's just you and me. I won't betray you. I mean, my former mate is in Dark Forest, and I talk to him in my dreams! So it's not like I don't already keep the secret of one cat."

Goldenwhisker nodded, wrapping her tail around Darkfire's back.Com'on! She mewed, glancing at a nearby tree. I smell honey! This would be good to take back to the medicine den for Mossfreckle, and she was sure Darkfire would want some too!

Darkfire smiled. "I hope you climb well. I don't! I'm rather clutsy, and fall quite easily. I can get on the big branches, you can get to it, and I'll pass the honey down."
