Dovepaw's sparring day

She was a warrior now. And warriors, opposed to what most seemed to believe, had duties. Among these duties was ensuring the proper progress of apprentice’s training even if it wasn’t ones own. With how long her own apprenticeship took (courtesy of ShadowClan, the vile), Silverrose had taken it upon herself to aid any apprentice needing some extra practice. This day, and as her first pupil, it was Dovepaw. It seemed the apprentice could use a refresher on battle training and Silverrose had the perfect idea in mind – a practice spar, plain and simple; she could give Dovepaw directions later. Positioning herself from across the apprentice out in the territory, Silverrose gave a subtle nod.
“You may get into position, if you please; I believe a practice spar will do you well. Do not fret and do not hesitate, I shall give you pointers as we go.= - most of all, do not forget to move.”
She mew, getting into position herself.
“You may begin.”

Dovepaw

Dovepaw was going to be sparring with Silverrose today. He hadn't practiced fighting in a hot minute so this would be incredibly useful. They were standing across from each other in a pretty big clearing. The wind wrestled his fluffy, grey and white, fur. His blue eyes were focused as the warrior gave him a subtle nod.

Dovepaw nodded in return and got into a sparring position, preparing himself for what was to come. "Got it," he said as he gave her another nod. They focused on what the goal was here, keep moving no matter what. They weren't going to wait for Silverrose to make the first move. So, Dovepaw took some long strides and aimed his sheathed paw for a strike on her head. He went for it.
